One of the hidden treasures of Texas Barbecue in Gillespie County. Located in Fredericksburg Texas, on the far west end of Main Street. The perfect size bbq joint. Order at the cutting board what you want by the pound, slice, link, pint or quart. Bbq has mild smoky flavors from the mesquite wood sourced from one county over in Hays. Brisket is the King of Texas bbq and Eaker’s brisket did not disappoint. They are currently using Prime Akaushi, an extremely high grade of beef. The brisket was a great balance of seasoning and light smoke with distinct mesquite flavor. Both styles of pork ribs are great. I like the traditional one the best, but the gochujang rib was a very tasty treat. The sausage was simply fantastic - the snap, texture, casing, balance of salt and seasoning. The turkey was flavorful and juicy. My favorite side was the slaw - very well crafted. Kimchi fried rice was one of my other favorites. It has the authentic Korean flavor with a solid sesame oil hint. On the daily special, Korean fried chicken sandwich was a delight with a perfectly fried chicken breast richly flavored sweet and house made pickle to cut the sweetness and balance every bite. I can’t wait to come back again. Wait in the line was not bad - about a 4 minute wait from the door. Remember to be patient. It’s a small town and extra staffing for weekends is not really an option . Please don’t miss this great small town business where one of the owners is always present. The nice lady behind the counter is Boo and her husband is Lance. Chat them up! They will make you feel like a regular with true Texas hospitality. Another legit top 50, maybe 10 BBQ joints in Texas. Brisket was perfectly seasoned and tender. We got lucky and got the last three ribs some sausage and turkey. A lot of the top guys ribs are good but Eakers ribs were fantastic. If you are looking for a great Texas Trinity, go here. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Excellent brisket! Creative sides (fabulous kimchi fried rice), lots of rib and sausage options. This is the real deal. Highly recommended, get there before they run out. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Eaker is a true BBQ gem of the Texas Hill Country. They serve quality BBQ with a Korean flair that we love. Their specials are not to be missed especially the pork belly burnt ends and Texas Twinkies. One thing that really surprised us is their mac n cheese, probably the best we've ever had at a BBQ joint. Definitely worth a trip out to Fredericksburg for this place. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
My daughter and I arrived early as we heard the “till sold out” happened often there and we didn’t want to miss out. Was a pleasure to meet both Lance and Boo Eaker, they are so friendly and welcoming. Boo gave us an overview of the menu and we ordered a sampling of Gochujang and Pork Ribs, Brisket, Pulled Pork, and Jalapeño Cheddar sausage. For sides we selected the Kimchi Fried Rice, Borracho Beans, Potato Salad, and Korean Cucumber Salad. We also tried the soup Pozole…the special for the day. What is unique about this place? It may be a “BBQ House” but it is much more than that…it’s BBQ coupled with the incredible flavors from Korea and dishes from Mexico. Dining here makes you feel like you’ve been invited into Lance and Boo’s home versus their restaurant. As for the food…EVERYTHING was delicious but if I had to pick a favorite it would be the Brisket and the Kimchi Rice. I must admit, the star of the meal was the Pozole soup. This is a soup I have never enjoyed, but will forever be looking for it in the future. All of the accolades they have received are well deserved and I can’t wait to visit them again. Absolutely amazing barbecue! The brisket Has a wonderful bark, great smoke flavor, and so tender It helps your teeth chew it, lol😄 however, it is GOD awfully expensive, got a half a pound BRISKET and NO SIDES and no drink for $21! They are obviously more proud of their barbecue than I will ever be! And the owners wife absolutely ignored me, and my wife, when we came in, and there was nobody in front of us, or behind us, she was just doing other things behind the counter, and didn’t even say welcome. As good as their barbecue is, we will not be back! There are other good barbecue places in town, and in Kerrville that are much better priced and with friendly faces! ** exactly what you see in the picture with The 2 pcs of meat is what they charged us $21 for, minus 1 bite my wife took before I could snap a pic** Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2 Recommended dishes Prime Brisket

Best Texas experience ever! We got there and the brisket was over, we didn’t know that the best option to have some good barbecue, you have to get on the line earlier. We could try the pulled pork and the jalapeño cheese sausage, AMAZING flavor. Banana pudding, delicious! Pecan bar, very good. Just love the place. If I come back to this city, I will definitely come here in the morning, just to try their brisket! Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20

Would give it 10 stars if I could. The creative combo of Korean gochujang and Texas bbq, accompanied by delious side of kimchi fried rice and spicy cucumber salad. Their pork ribs and brisket are to die for. Also tried their Sat special Texas tweenies, which is basically jalapeños and cheese wrapped in bacon. Taste amazing and I will be back!

Amazing BBQ with sides that can stand alone! A bit out of the crowded Fredrickburg center so easy parking . Lance, the owner personally greets you and cuts up the meat portions! Brisket at $16 1/2 pound reasonably priced and ribs (kiminchi) and regular amazing. If you haven’t tried it, go! Say hi to Lance for me!
