Order tasty fried catfish, ham hock and mac-n-cheese. A lot of people say that waiters offer good peach cobbler and perfectly cooked banana pudding here. It's nice to order delicious coffee. This restaurant is well known for its great service and friendly staff, that is always ready to help you. Moderate prices are something that should be said about Dusties Southern Style Buffet. You will certainly appreciate the quiet atmosphere and cute decor. But this place hasn't earned a high rating from Google users.

Went here for my mother in-laws birthday dinner because she hadn’t had it in years and wanted to try it. From the time we pulled up to leaving it was terrible . The best thing was the soda . 133.00 for something I could have made at home. I was absolutely sadden that her birthday was ruined by staffed who had asked us were we done with the food. I felt rushed after that and very uncomfortable/ unwelcome. Also seen staff cleaning and messing with food with there bare hands. And eating from the bar openly. The restaurant was practically closed up and ready to shut when my party arrived at 6:30 even though the staff told us they didn’t close until 9. The host literally had to remove our chairs from the top of the table to seat us. We were the only guest in the entire building. Which was interesting for a Saturday night. We dined at the buffet. The price was expensive for the small selection of food and our experience was disturbed twice by staff asking if we were done with particular dishes so they could put them away and clean the buffet line. “Are y’all gonna eat any of this banana pudding? I wanna put it up”Mind you, at this time it was only 7:30 the food was not being consistently replenished and while it didn’t taste bad it absolutely wasn’t fresh. As a whole the experience was not worth $135 and left everyone uncomfortable and dissatisfied. Service Dine in Food: 4 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 1

HORRIBLE!! They fell off completely! Food taste like it's from a can and old. Staff is unfriendly and barely wanted to work. NO HOT WATER in the bathrooms...so how are the employees washing their hands? The silverware looked dirty, and when I asked for a cup of hot water, I was denied, and offered plastic utensils. Went to a repast here. Generally speaking the food was okay. The greens were a little too salty for my taste but I liked the fried chicken, mac n cheese, yams and salad varieties. The peach cobbler was a little too doughy but it was okay. They serve pig ears here...lol. Didnt try that but my Uncle enjoyed it with his Black eye peas. Because it's a buffet you serve yourself but I appreciated that the staff made themselves available if you had questions or needed something specific. You can help yourself as often as you like. The atmosphere was relaxed and full of nostalgic photos of celebs that have visited the place. You can have a birthday party here too because there's space for a dj, dancing and picture taking. The cost for the food and beverages was around $20. However, I'm not sure how much it costs to rent the space for the event. Plenty of free parking! Do NOT EVER COME TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT. My family and I came here after I purchased a Groupon voucher for a two person all you can eat. Total was 50.14 which was no problem. The problem came in when the owner, Keith Lewis, told my husband and I that we cannot use the voucher on the same day that we purchased it. It seemed very off because I've never heard or read anything like that before. Since we were there we decided to stay and pay their price of 63.76 for two adults. We looked up the voucher again and seen there was no such policy. When asking the owner for a refund and telling him and one of his employees, Tay, about the policy not being there, he states that it was "supposed to be in there" and I would have to get a refund from Groupon. My husband and I explained to the owner that it cannot be our fault for something that the merchant aka the owner of Dusties should be monitoring and is responsible for, to which he had no reply. The employee Tay, sides with the owner (of course) and tells us we ate there, trying to imply because we ate that we cannot get our money back, WRONG. So, basically he lied about being able to use the voucher and double charged us. We did not leave and demanded money back, in which they decided to call the police. When the police arrived my husband and I told him what happened and my husband and the officer stepped away to talk. During their conversation, the owner THEN decides to refund me my money back. This was a straight up scam and it was done to many people before because the owner stated that he tells that to everyone as far as them not being able to use the Groupon voucher the same day it was purchased, which is a LIE because he ended up wanted me to pull up the voucher so that it can be redeemed after he refunded me my money. This place only had good greens, mac n cheese, banana pudding and smothered chicken. The fried chicken was hard as if they put out leftovers and the cornbread. The food was fantastic! But that $30+ price isn't. The condiment bottles at each table were disgusting so they need to clean them. Other than that I'd recommend this place, but not often because of the price. There was not 1 person eating there other than me and I know it's because of the price because the food is good. Made to go order, meatloaf not sure it was real ground beef looked like fake ground beef and mashed potatoes. The second section contained greens and northern beans. Third section contained banana pudding, spent $32.00. The food selection was limited and unfortunately not the same as years past, which used to be very good! . I am pleased I didn’t order anything my lean cuisine was much better it appears. I realize times are difficult but I would rather have fewer choices in south suburbs with better quality. My experience here was really good. The cooks were friendly, my waiter was friendly and very helpful. The place was clean. There was a few food selections that I didn't prefer, but I made sure I tried a small portion of everything there. The desserts didn't look too good so i didnt bother. It was very pricey, I stopped in as a solo traveler and paid $31 plus I always tip. Omg where do I start ok Mother's Day we got there at about 6pm they close at 8 for dine in and take out 9. Let's talk about it most of the items were out and we were told that they would not be refilling them. We then asked about desserts and were told we should have came earlier cause they had everything. The desserts we got were not good at all dry couldn't chew or swallow without water cobblers should of just been trashed for 38.33 per person this was unacceptable. Soul food where no taste or favors whatsoever gives soul food a bad name. Not very clean either. I was so excited and hungry me and some more mothers went just to eat good and enjoy each others company and we spent the whole time complaining about the food what we wanted they didn't have and what we got they could've kept. It's a buffet food be refilled until you close. Not what's left is what you get we didn't pay for scraps we paid for a meal. We had to stop and pick up food so we were out of money and a meal.
