About
Indian cuisine is to guests' liking at this restaurant. It's worth visiting Durban on the bay because of nicely cooked bunny chow, biryani and lamb. At this place, you can get a takeout. The spectacular service is another important advantageprices at this spot are worth attention as they're fair. This restaurant is ranked 4 within the Google grading system.

Durban on the Bay looks very tacky both inside and out. I went in there once to buy a samoosa. Not impressed with the place. I certainly wouldn't buy a take away from them, let alone have a sit down meal. I don't rate it as a restaurant. It doesn't look particularly clean and tidy in the front. Heaven alone knows what the kitchen looks like. Terrible mess all around in the street outside with vagrants lying all over on the pavement. Vagrants have even set up camp in the small park opposite. Did not enjoy the veg breyani at all and the dhall tasted like it was going bad but was told that an extra ingredient was added that’s why it has that taste. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his meat curry. Service is really good and friendly. Sept 2021 - Zero Stars today - worse briyani overpriced - what a disappointment!

Excellent food and friendly service. The menu is reasonably priced and they have daily specials. I got the Bean curry with Roti and a potato samosa; which are vegan friendly, and it was delicious and spicy. Please let them be aware if you’re unable to handle spicy food in advance.
Food is very expensive and the service is very slow . Bought some chips for to my surprise it was like nothing I dont recommend Atmosphere: 3
I am from Durban and living in PE. This place is a disgrace to all that is Indian. Indian people are clean, hospitable and great cooks. The mutton has tastes of soya in it. The kebab is horrid. The bunny chow is brown gravy, tasting like stew. It's so easy to make good Indian food. What must PE think of us? Terrible aftertaste still in my mouth. The mutton Briyani is so dry. It doesn't even taste nice. What a waste of my 80 bucks

Delicious food. Enjoyed the lamb bunny. A definite must on your stay in PE.
My partner and I decided to try Durban on the Bay for the first time. I enjoyed the best Briyani and the best chicken curry bunny chow I have ever had in my entire life. Forget the fancy curry restaurants. If you want the best curry in the bay this is the place. 10 out of 5 stars!
I love spicy food and Durban on the Bay makes the best Bunny Chows and biryanis I've tasted so far. If I feel like a take away, Durban on the Bay is my first choice. The owners are also very friendly and helpful.
