I recently visited Dukat, and it was a delightful experience. The atmosphere was cozy, with traditional Balkan music setting the mood. The menu offered a variety of authentic Balkan dishes, all prepared with care. The staff was friendly and welcoming, adding to the overall charm of the place. If you're looking for a taste of Balkan cuisine, I highly recommend Dukat!

Food is expensive for a store front place that isn’t a restaurant. they charge $22.50 per plate and all the prices are the same on all of the food. they don’t have prices advertised so they probably just take advantage of people coming in. and most of the food was frozen/defrosted so it came cold/luke warm. overall the food was ok, but too salty. based on prices and experience, would not recommend.
We got meat burek with very delicious yogurt. Then got a platter of ćevapčići with ajvar, kajmak, lepinje, and fries - it was top notch (we ordered more ćevapi, since they were so good). Loved the cabbage salad and hot and mild pickled peppers as well. Excellent cake and coffee to finish off a delicious meal. Between the two of us, we were stuffed. The food was so, so good! Thanks for the hospitality and the home cooked food. I will come again next time I am in Chicago.

Absolutely great home cooking! You feel like you're the guest of a Serbian household and in many ways you are! The sweet couple that runs this place barely speaks any English (they depend on an equally sweet Guatemalan woman to translate!) but they manage to get you great food and offer lots of little freebies. I went with the kids, who loved the place. We had one of the sausage dishes, the ghoulash, the prebanach bean dish and the one of the soups (essentially matza-ball soup). All of it was heart-warmingly delicious but the soup was probably the stand out, esp. for the kids. And oh, the bread was great too.

We stopped at Dukat for lunch. The food was exceptionally tasty. Stuffed cabbage (sarma), cevapi, pljeskavica (meat pattie), ice cream (homemade!!), coffee… all portions more than generous. Quality above and beyond. Atmosphere absolute wonderful, clean, cozy, warm… But the service, hospitality, kindness and friendliness you will not find anywhere else. Please visit! You will leave happy with your belly full but more importantly your heart will be full!! Cannot wait to go back. We just made some wonderful friends! Thank you Dukat ❤️!

We got there late in the day & they were out of bureks, but they offered to make a fresh one for us. It might be the best thing I’ve ever eaten. We got one meat and one feta & spinach. We will definitely be back. Incredible food & wonderful customer service.
