Awesome food, atmosphere and service!! Alyssa did an amazing job as our server, so polite, attentive and helpful. This was our second time eating here and it was just as good if not better than the first time. Definitely will be returning. And as a final note, the outdoor heated huts are incredible. Allowed our party of 4 to enjoy all the great things Dr. Rolf's provides with a bit of coziness and privacy making our entire experience a 5 star plus evening! 1st time visit; was referred by The Early Owl. 😉 Greens were sweeter than I cared for, but everything was delicious and VERY reasonably priced! Our waitress was very kind and gave my little girl extra attention as we were the only ones dining in at the moment. I had more than enough food 🤭 and was able to take a lot home to hubby. Brisket is one of the best I've had, and I truly enjoyed the green beans. Will definitely return. We loved our experiences with this place. I wish I had remembered the lovely waitress name. We decided to sit outside (we called the love shacked) and had great experiences. We both had the 3 meat plates, and we had leftover for another meal. Yesterday was our first time dining at Dr. Rolf's. WE ARE HOOKED! The food was absolutely outstanding! The brisket was the best I've ever had! The service was FANTASTIC. Our server Gabby was incredibly friendly and efficient. She made us feel so welcome and she took care of us like we were family. We've decided to make Dr. Rolf's "our place". I savored the Southwestern Salad with Pulled Pork – a harmonious blend of mixed greens, black beans, corn, avocado, sweet onions, red bell, and poblano peppers dressed with housemade southwest ranch dressing. Dana opted for the Rib Meat Sandwich, which was a masterpiece of pork baby back rib meat smothered in Dr. Rolf's peach apricot barbecue sauce, topped with slaw and red onions. The food was really good. The chicken things have really good flavor without drowning them in the default buffalo sauce. The Mac and Cheese mixed with the beef smoked sausage was excellent. Food quality has rapidly declined. I ordered burnt ends, mac and cheese, and collard greens for takeout. Everything tasted worse than before. I've been to their Grand Haven location and loved it. Somehow the Muskegon location beats it. The atmosphere is welcoming and nostalgic. It's located in a great old building with tall tin ceilings. They've used reclaimed wood to perfection that just gives a warm feeling and the choice of black metal lighting that gives a nice solid feeling. I ordered the 3 tacos ($13) and got 1 of each flavor. A Brisket taco with Pickled onions, radishes, queso fresco cheese, sriracha sour cream, fresh cilantro. A Chicken taco with Grilled onions & poblano peppers, queso fresco cheese, southwest sauce, fresh cilantro. Plus a Pulled Pork taco with Bean & corn salad, queso fresco cheese, cilantro lime sour cream, fresh cilantro. Plus I ordered 6 Chicken Wings ($13) which are smoked and glazed with sauce, in this case the Peach Apricot sauce. Lastly I got an order of the Cornbread Waffles ($4). Everything was excellent. Tacos were fun and juicy while exploding with juice and flavor. The wings were smoked to perfection and the cornbread may be the best I've had. The person I was with ordered the 1 Meat plus 2 side platter ($15). In this case pulled pork, coleslaw, and cornbread waffles. Here again everything was loved. Especially the cornbread. So much so an additional order was placed to take home. The service here was like everything else. Top notch. Overall the most solid a 5 star review can get. Would I return? YES!!!! I heard they were hosting America's Best Restaurant. So, I came over to be on TV lol. I normally go to the location in Grand Haven inside The Grand Armory, but they have more options at this location. I got a chicken sandwich and smoked apples. I rarely eat apples, but wanted to try something I didn't normally get. It was delicious! The chicken was perfectly cooked. My friend got their sweet potato Quesadilla with a side of Mac. The Mac and cheese was delicious. I rarely like Mac from restaurants. I don't think they ever cook it properly. This Mac had good flavor, but I do with it was baked to have a little more of a crust and char on top. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20
