I was disappointed with this place. My boyfriend and I went to Lancaster and spent one night. We only got the chance to go out to dinner once and this was the place we chose based on the reviews and local recommendations. It started off well with the appetizer of spicy mac & cheese, which was very good. After that, we waited about 45 additional minutes to get our main entrées. The one thing I can say was that a manager came out after about 40 minutes to apologize and offered us free chips and salsa while we wait. We declined since at that point she said our food would be ready in five minutes and we didn’t want to fill ourselves up. So about five minutes later we got our food and I had ordered the Barbacoa bowl. The bowl was supposed to come with rice, beans, the meat of choice, cheese, tomato and another sauce. The only thing I did not want on my bowl was beans. I told the waitress to keep everything else the same. When I receive my bowl, there were only two ingredients which was plain basmati rice, and the Barbacoa. There was absolutely no sauce of any kind or cheese on my bowl. At this point, it was nearly 10 o’clock and I feared that if I had sent my bowl back I would’ve had to wait again. I was in disbelief that my bowl only came with two ingredients. It was completely dry and lacked flavored due to the fact that it was missing several of its components. I am disappointed that we wasted our one night in Lancaster on this place when there are so many other amazing restaurants that we could’ve went to. I would never have just ordered plain rice with Barbacoa from a restaurant and paid $22. If I’m going out to eat , I should be getting something that I wouldn’t be able to to make myself at home. I’ll definitely have to go back to Lancaster to try other restaurants and definitely won’t make the mistake of eating at this place again.
