Loved everything about this place! The decor is awesome and atmosphere is so lively. The servers were very friendly. Their menu options seem to be endless which made me a bit confused; I wanted to try a bit of everything, but I controlled myself to two things. I had the hummus with tomato, avocado on GF toast - delicious. It was the first time I ever had hummus with avocado & tomato and it’s my new favorite. My husband had bacon, egg & cheese on a bun with home fries- his home fries were spicy, which were not spicy fans but he did like his BEC. When I’m back to pick up my son from school, I’ll have to stop by again and try something else. They also had desserts showing inside the glass casing that looked divine. They had a chocolate flourless cake that was calling my name 🤤- I’ll see you next time I’m on campus! DF/GF/vegan/vegetarians: they have it all Service Dine in Meal type Breakfast Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Home Fries
Stopped in here on a Sunday mid morning. It wasn’t too crowded. Had their bottomless coffees, very reasonably priced by the way, and a meal. Parking can be a little hairy, but that’s because this is downtown UConn. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Went for lunch and enjoyed the place very much. Well presented dishes with good portions. Service is good, not crazy but good. Fresh flavors and real eggs with omelettes. Will Go Back. Quiet spot to sit and have a coffee and snack. The oatmeal raisin cookie was a bit dry but good. They would not make an iced latte or iced cappuccino (odd) only offered hot-and it was 88 degrees outside-so I opened for the strawberry banana yogurt smoothie-which turned out to be a great option. Service Dine in Meal type Other Price per person $10–20 Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 5
There is so much wasted plastic.. by no means am I normally a negative reviewer but the amount of senseless plastic waste prompted me to write this. There are many other options for takeout containers that might not be so cringe worthy when it comes time to dispose of them. Moreover, you can fit more than 20 home fries together in one box. Please do better. Service Take out Meal type Breakfast Price per person $20–30 Food: 2 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2
We brought our son here for breakfast as he just started at UConn. It is a nice large establishment, so much to choose from on the menu & service is quick. Everything we had was delicious. Would definitely go back again. Service Dine in Meal type Breakfast Price per person $10–20

The sandwiches were tasty and the decor was just right for a college campus. A diverse menu to please the very finicky college crowd was spread wide across the walls over the service counter. Canned beer was available. The three stars for service is because they don't really serve you. They bring your stuff to your table when it's ready. Not a cheap lunch or breakfast place, but worth the premium. Meal type Lunch Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 5

If I lived in the area I'd go there more often. This place has a likeable college cafe vibe. Breakfast sandwiches were tasty, as well as their coffee offerings. Their staff bring orders to your table, and they're all very friendly. Tofu banh mi had a generous amount of tofu but unfortunately also contained some accidental chicken (or tuna?). As a vegan customer, not pleased with the cross contamination. Otherwise, excellent cafe with plenty of food and drink options for morning, afternoon, or evening. Comfy seating, friendly staff, and convenient location. Large iced coffee is LORGE! I visit the Dog Lane Café on a regular basis, and I really like it! Their chai lattes, smoothies, and sandwiches are all delicious, and the environment is warm and inviting. The pumpkin chai was not my favorite, and the prices are a tad steep, but I’d still recommend it. Service Dine in Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5
