About
After visiting Museum of North Idaho, you can look over the menu at this confectionary restaurant. At Dockside, pay attention to nicely cooked trout, shrimp tacos and garlic prawns. The cooks here prepare good strawberry cheesecakes, ice cream sundaes and crepes. It's a must to order delicious Mimosas, beer or house wine when coming to this place. Great chocolate frappe, ice tea or strawberry lemonade will make your meal tastier and you'll surely come back. Your children will be offered a great kids’ menu. This spot is recommended for the attentive staff. The professional service is something these restaurateurs care about. Democratic prices at this confectionary restaurant are good news for its customers. You will certainly like the pleasant atmosphere and fancy decor. Dockside is ranked 4.2 within the Google grading system.

October 29,2023, update 1 star rating The service was friendly. But breakfast was way off, biscuit was dry crumbling couldn't even eat it. Our food was dry and crusty, I have been coming here for a while, and this is my first major disappointment. I hope they up their game. For the price, the food should be amazing, not subpar. I'm very disappointed. Had brunch here the Saturday before Easter Sunday. Really great place, we enjoyed the service and the food. They have a Sunday brunch, but make sure to make reservations. I plan to make Easter Sunday reservations for next year. The view is beautiful of the lake. We have eaten here 3 times in 6 weeks. We like it that much. It's a bit pricey we paid $109 for 3 of us to eat before tip. This included 1 appetizer, 1 salad trip, 1 cup soup, 3 meals, and a dessert. The clam chowder is amazing. We really do enjoy this place. Very casual, you can dress nicely for a date or wear jeans and a T-shirt. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We enjoyed our dinner at dockside we split the prime rib. It was a bit undercooked but still a great experience The crab cakes were amazing The only surprise was we ordered just basic wine it was $22 a glass so that’s just kind of ridiculous but we had a beautiful view of the boats coming in and sitting by the window and it was really lovely. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $50–100 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Update We went for the breakfast buffet just my husband and I it was really good and the server was amazing. Since food was already done it was no wait at all. Nice food but not worth how bad and slow the services is. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Pretty good location and I am guessing that the staff is good. We were super unlucky to have a server who completely lacked customer obsession. For a simple oatmeal and vegan pancakes we were made to wait for 90 minutes, multiple rounds to double confirm simple things and it took us to check with the kitchen directly. Once manager came to know, he was very very prompt. Not only he got us the food in 5 minutes but also waived off the bill. Food was fine, kids liked the pancakes and lemonades were good as well. All these four stars for the manager who was very sincere. Service Dine in Meal type Breakfast Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 5

Good restaurant with amazing deserts! Their deserts is the reason to visit them. Good entrees, they’re changing and updating everything, makes me want to go back to try more things and to take more pics. Love their clam chowder. Shrimp scampi is good. Huge improvement in decorations, tables, and seats. Went back and tried it again and took more pics. Pretty good and impressed. Looks like no more pasta other than scampi, and high prices. But the views and environment are amazing. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Creme Brulee

One of our favorite places to go. On the weekends, you can get a breakfast buffet. It’s not the cheapest place but the service is great and the food is top-notch. Fantastic views of the lake. We got to watch sea planes taking off and landing. Up until October 1. You can even take a free shuttle boat ride over to the floating green and have breakfast or lunch or just drinks over there as well. My wife and I have been coming here for the better part of 10 years, my wife has been coming for the better part of 30 years. Tonight‘s experience was by far one of the worst that we’ve experienced in the years that we’ve gone we’ve had very awesome experiences and food. I ordered a ribeye steak, cooked medium. When I received it, it was burned on one side and barely cooked on the other steak. It had absolutely zero flavor, to the point that I couldn’t even eat it. My son ordered a chicken Coeur d’Alene, which came with mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes were straight up out of a box most likely from grocery outlet judging by the flavor or lack there of. They were quite possibly some of the most gross potatoes I’ve ever had. My wife ordered her staple, the fish and chips, and the fish part came out in a massive fillet versus three or four small fillets, which has been typical until recently. I also ordered an old fashion whiskey, and it was so rich it tasted like a Dom on the rocks. I also ordered a Long Island iced tea which I never saw. I had to ask the waiter to remove it from the check. The waiter never smiled once it took him nearly 20 minutes to even take our food order after he had taken our drink order, there was no friendliness or worms from the wait staff. Overall the service was subpar. Is very sad that this may be the very last time that we go to dockside. Perhaps management should invest in staff and training and proper service instead of making the building, so aesthetically displeasing to the eyes.
