The place is specialized in traditional algarve sweets, pastries and specialties. The lady owner is very welcoming and helpful in explaining different options. We ordered a ‘mushroom’ doce fino (quite similar to marzipan hand shaped in small objects), dom rodrigo (egg yolk filo threads mixed with sugar and cinnamon syrup, then packed in pyramid shape) and carob coffee (no caffeine). Be careful with Portuguese sweets if you don’t want your blood sugar goes through the roof. However, the carob drink really helps balance out the sweetness.
This was the first place I visited during my day trip to Silves and the woman working there was so kind and welcoming. She took the time to explain the different sweets to me and shared some of the history behind them, as well. I ended up trying a castanha de ovo, which is sweet egg custard thickened with chestnut flour, and I also bought some fresh strawberries from her to have later with my lunch. It was a great way to start my day in Silves!
A reference sweet and pastry shop, specialized in locally made algarvian products. The friendly and welcoming staff was well informed and had stories and histories to tell about the desserts. They serve a to-go coffee (and a carob variation) and sometimes set a couple seats outdoors.

What a beautiful little nice shop. Full of regional sweets and goodies. And a very warm and knowledgeable guidance through the products - both in portuguese and english. The owner made our visit here very special!
In the historical centre of Silves there's a real gem: a traditional pastry shop with high quality products, made only by artisan pastry chefs from the Algarve. The walnut biscuits, almond biscuits, Easter 'folar' and fig 'estrelados' we tasted were simply mouth-watering! Alexandra, the owner of the shop, is super kind and explained to us the ingredients of the sweets and how they are made. One tip: you can buy many gluten-free pastries and 100% Algarvian dried fruits, which is absolutely great for us!

Wonderful shop with lots of tasty, local products. The lady who works there is very helpful and friendly and also loves to tell you about the city’s history. We had a good time and got some nice gifts to take home. You should try the special “coffee” they make. You can get it hot or cold and I really enjoyed the cold version. I Would definitely come back here!
