I order my eggs sunny side up. One on my plate was broken. I don’t mind if one is broken or both. To my surprise, the cook came out and gave me an egg sunny side up. He apologized for his mistake. Now that’s customer service. That was first!

Update: (12/24/23) Nothing has changed from what you will read below. My wife and I just finished up a turkey dinner and it still is the best we know of anywhere! They don't use perfectly sliced "lunch" meat like alot of other places. These folks roast the turkeys right there and pull the meat right off the bones! Generous portions of stuffing, mashed potatoes and corn make up the rest of the dinner. If you like turkey, you need to stop by here on Fridays and Sundays. That's when they offer it. Do try it!
One of downriver's best "bangs for the buck". My wife and I were alerted to this place many years ago and we have been hooked on it ever since! NEVER have had a bad meal. ALWAYS get more than what you pay for. They have cut their hours somewhat for the same reason alot of restaurants have: shortage of staff. Don't let that stop you ... do try the Dixie Cafe; it's a wonderful little family restaurant. 🤗

The waitress was rude, we sat in a quiet section after I had a long flight and was tired and wanted some quiet. She walked over and put her hands on the table and said "I sure hope I don't forget you all over here" and went on and on about probably forgetting us and we can't get mad because we sat here...and we were so put off we finished our coffees and decided not to order food. We went to another establishment where everyone was kind and we ate and enjoyed our food there. Not going back to Dixie Cafe again.

it’s a blink and you’ll miss it kind of place, but that’s exactly what drew me in, and what i love to find when i’m traveling. my server was kind as can be, super attentive, and made for the friendliest start to my drive. since i stopped in on a monday morning, it wasn’t super busy, just myself and a few pairs of regulars, but that meant i was served quickly but also never felt rushed. i had the homemade corned beef hash and it was exactly as you’d expect - chunks of beef, hashbrowns, and peppers and onions that were delightfully fresh and crisp (with a nice char from cooking). a simple breakfast, but exactly what i hoped for. can’t ask for much more than that! i hope to return next time i’m in the area.

We had the Thanksgiving dinner. It was excellent. We all had more than enough and it was wonderful. I didn't have to cook for a change.
