A friend of mine recommended the blackened shrimp tacos. They were served only a few minutes after I ordered, which on the one hand is great if you are hungry, but on the other hand makes me suspicious. The food looked nice, but the shrimps had a very swampy smell to them. Something about the mayonnaise also made me suspicious. I wanted to play it safe, so I only ate a little bit and didn’t touch the french fries. They were prepared in old oil, no amount of ketchup would have hidden that fact. The location is ok, the service was in a hurry but attentive and friendly. Because of the food experience I won’t come back. It was an amazing experience and our server was super friendly. I got the fried shrimp and fish. My sister got the coconut shrimp with potatoes. We both cleaned our plates. If travel back down to Texas again I am definitely coming back to here. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Beautiful location, great views while enjoying a large choice of seafood and drinks; most if not all of the seating faces the bay, the bridge, and South Padre Island. Easy to get to — make a right just before the bridge to SPI, (or left coming from SPI into Port Isabel). I enjoyed the blackened flounder, mashed potatoes and broccoli with cheese! Also caught a great Monday afternoon/dinner special: oysters only .75 each! Friendly, attentive staff; reasonable prices; all in all a fun and delicious experience. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

There's not much bad to say about this place at all! Actually none to complain of at all to be honest. The one thing I didn't care for was such a simple and small thing it doesn't really even matter. The food and drink were all great! The staff was excellent! The decor around the inside and outside of the restaurant was also awesome! As a train guy, I loved it. The caboose car outside the establishment was pretty neat to see as well. The only complaint I would have was that it was dimly lit as though it was a bar. This is not a cheap place to go, there are less expensive items on the menu though. We had the Oysters Rockefeller which was delicious, having never tried them before. Also we had drinks the whole Red snapper and fried scallops and shrimp $130 with tip. Last nights date night ended with my hubby in hives and my stomach in crazy pain. Benadryl helped him but nothing helped me- it was a sleepless night 🥱 I’m narrowing my reaction to the Oyster Rockefeller. When we ate them at Dirty Al’s in Brownsville awhile back I had the same reaction as the one I had last night from Pelican Station…must be something in their recipe bc we cook them, we’ve tried them at other places and my body doesn’t react like it did those two times 🤷‍♀️ On another note, mash potatoes were bland, my broccoli was smooshy and steak was overcooked. Not a good first experience but would give it a 2nd chance. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50 Food: 2 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
