Came here on a Thursday early evening. Lots of seats available. The frog meat is fresh and tender. By itself, quite plain-tasting, but together with the spring onions, gravy and spices, it’s a really good combo. Highly recommend the gong bao flavour, just don’t eat the chilli seeds if you can’t take spicy. Porridge is very consistent in texture. I like it that they spam the spices here. Only thing for us is that it took quite long for the dishes to be served. Think we waited about 15-20min, at least we had our drinks pretty fast. A satisfying experience, but I sincerely believe the price can be cheaper. Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

We came by for dinner around 8.30pm. We were quickly seated and given menu and an ordering chit. We ordered two minced pork porridge, one plain porridge, spicy spring onion gong bao frog (3 frogs), fried pork, baby kailan with salted fish. We also ordered drinks. The drinks and food came fairly quickly and the service staff was careful to place the dishes well between us so that we could reach for the food comfortably. The minced meat porridge was plain porridge topped with brown saucy minced meat! That was special and the children ate that with gusto (pretty yummy i must say). The gong bao frog had that spicy kick but the spicy sauce struck a nice balance when mixed with the plain porridge. The plain porridge was seasoned and had its taste super boosted by the dash of sesame oil and pepper and quite a pinch of julienned ginger! Super nice! The frog meat was fresh, tender and when coated w the gong bau sauce, sedap! It’s definitely one of the best gong bao frogs! Very yummy 宮保田雞 Frog Porridge and fish. This even have more variety than Geylang Lor 9 Frog Porridge. Next time, I will patronize this restaurant because I like the fish here. Drooling Ginger and Onion Frog dish. The meat just fall off the bone easily as you take a big bite. Pairing with the Trio Eggs Congee is just nice. But the congee was cold and the raw egg did not mix well. Can't give a full 5Stars. I read the reviews and so much bad reviews, so decided to try it out myself. Based on the reviews, there’re people talked about the taste is not as good as before which I don’t know how well previously. I think the taste is good, the porridge is thick yet smooth, the frogs are tender and fresh which I tried few weeks ago with my friend. Then today, I decided to try again, the fish + frog porridge is so good. Portion is well with competitive price as well. Overall, I think this restaurant worth a try. Not that bad though. Dinner was prawn rolls, chicken feet, gong bao frog, veg and fried flat fish. All was OK. But in JB, my standards are higher as there are lots of good eats out there which will give this place a run for its money easily. Service, parking, price were all good. Can try if u are near Bt Indah shopping.

Super good food, the frog sauce goes really well with the porridge and also the porridge portion for two pax can feed three :0 the rest of the dishes were really nice too and the food came quickly once we ordered (less than 15 mins) Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Recommended dishes Porridge
I am not sure the chef got taste bud issue, the chicken essence frog, the soup is super salty n only the Malay staffs Around which i can't communicate, wasted the chicken essence. Pig trotters overcooked, skin like jelly, together with drinks cost me rm67 for one person, portion not enough for 2 person

Nice Tze Char specialising in Frog leg. Have patronised several times, almost a must visit when visiting Bukit indah. The Frog legs are of good size and are always cooked just nice so they are tender. Beware of the Gong bao frog legs though, after 2 mouths can leave your mouth numb but quick shiok if can take spicy. Their plain porridge has good texture and the wiff of sesame oil.Other recommended dishes are the fried fermented pork and Trio egg. Bill came up to Rm 150+ for 4 adults and 1 kid.
