Such a fun, great place to come for lunch! We will definitely be back! It has an open type, feel, including the kitchen area. The owner from Argentina was the cook today and the food couldn’t have been better. We will be back!

Great vibe and the workers are so friendly! It was our first time going - they gave us great recommendations and waited on us the perfect amount.
Food was excellent - we tried 6 different types of empanadas and they were all great. The cheese and onion specifically was to die for. Dessert - tres leches cake. Maybe the best version I have ever had.
We will be going back frequently!

Tres Leches Cake
Buen Provecho, Minnesota: My Argentine Adventure in Minnesota
Ah, a Thursday afternoon in Minnesota, a state where Argentine culture is as common as a sunburn in January. My buddy Mike, ever the gourmet gambit player, found a place offering not just Argentine cuisine but a perfect setting for our chess game, the board we brought along. Empanadas and a battle of wits, anyone?
Upon arriving, the little Argentinian flags were doing a joyful dance. The venue was vast and a bit confusing. With mural art on the walls and bare concrete floors, I had to ponder, "Is this a restaurant or a nightclub?" My appetite didn't care, so in I went, chessboard in tow.
Ordering was as easy as pie, or in this case, empanadas. Three for $3.75 each: beef (because raisins in beef are simply criminal), BBQ Chicken, and Chorizo. And why not Tres Leches for dessert? It was Thursday, after all. The bathroom? At the back of the not-a-club, to your right. Five minutes later, and my empanadas were ready, as excited as I was.
We chose the patio, where we descended on our meal like it owed us money. The empanadas didn't stand a chance, especially with their restaurant branding and two-letter code. It's like they came with their own instruction manual, printed on the napkin and cutlery container, turning our meal into a delicious decoding experience.
The empanadas were delicious, filled with a dance of flavors. The Tres Leches and I performed a taste bud tango, too. The chess? Let's just say my game was more chicken dance than masterful ballet, and two wrong moves ended it. But hey, in the culinary battle, I emerged victorious.
So raise a glass to Minnesota's Argentine gem, a place that's part restaurant, part enigma, all charm. Four stars for the food, the art, and the delightful disarray. If you're in the mood for a meal with a side of mystery, head right in. Just don't expect the empanadas to teach you how to tango—they're too busy being delicious!
Went for my first time. Very simple and affordable. Perfect setting for me visiting with a friend I had not seen in many years. We chose about 10 different types of empanadas to sample share and bring some leftovers home. Non-alcoholic beverages were served but I recall they had wine and some different alcoholic options if desired . and there were adorable sweet treats for your sugar fix as well. Note there was Plenty of parking. Decent distance to the freeway so I could travel back home. I will be going back to this location again. It could be a great place to keep everyone happy! I loved it!

Best empanadas! Good beer and wine selection too. Food is ready in a few minutes so not much waiting at all. Lots of flavors. Toys and games for kids too.

I love Del Sur Empanadas! I have enjoyed their delicious food and stellar service in multiple ways. I’ve dined in at their Minnetonka and Malcom Yards locations. I’ve purchased their frozen empanadas to bake and eat at home or bring to a party. And my husband and I hired them to cater our wedding, and we couldn’t have asked for a better vendor.
The owners and all the staff are great people. So know that no matter how or where you get your Del Sur empanadas (or sandwiches, salads, and desserts), you’re in for a treat.

Excellent empanadas in laid back digs. My favorites were the sweet beef and the BBQ chicken. My wife’s favorite was spinach. The flan is also really good!
