It was too good to be true. The family that runs this place seems incredibly friendly, and the shop makes delicious donuts, unfortunately consistent food handling standards are not front of mind. While we've had several remarkable visits recently, there is an older gentleman that works on Saturdays that re-uses his disposable glove to serve donuts, taking it off by the fingers with his ungloved hand each time. I should have thrown them out there and asked them to remake the order, that's on me, but until food safety becomes a higher priority (with policies in place) I think our family will unfortunately avoid this delicious morning stop. To be fair, 99 times out of 100 this will likely not impact you or make you sick, but having been in food service, knowing that front of house standards (what you can see) are usually indicative of back of house standards (what you can't see), this was a disappointing failure for such a common sense safety measure.
