For more than a decade, this eatery has been open and serving food on Thanksgiving Day. The man at the cash register greeted us with a huge smile. Turkey with all the fixings plus dessert $20. Turkey and ham with all the fixings plus dessert $23. They were also serving chopped brisket and pulled pork. I’d get the brisket and ham again. A line out the door at lunchtime. I do not think they actually BBQ anything here. The brisket was solid grey and had no smoke ring. It tasted like it was broiled. Sausage was really bad and they had no ribs at 1PM in the afternoon. Stopped in on a whim. Just needed some lunch. I would say the brisket is very moist but greasy. We had the taco and the sandwich. It was good but not Texas BBQ good. I asked for some sweet BBQ sauce. The girl there gave me a bottle of sweet baby rays sauce. After putting it on my food. I realized it was a little runny. After taking a few bites. I realized what they done. They thinned the sweet baby rays with vinegar. I am not a fan of being miss led when it comes to my BBQ or sauce. The other reason I was not a fan was that this place needed some repairs. Bathroom door would not lock. Floors were kind of dirty. Please do your part to be a true business owner and your business will be good. This is a honest review! Service was fast and friendly, brisket was moist and almost melt in mouth, ribs were good ( not a fan of spicemix but thats a personal choice ) jalapeno sausage was very good and i should have gotten a full link vs half,the half chicken was delicious. We had bbq sauce on side and it tasted good. We enjoyed and wold visit again.

It is very disheartening to see only 3.9 stars for this place. They deserve 5 stars. The food was great! The ribs melt off the bone and the sausage was on point. The best part is their in house sauce. I really think they should bottle and sale. It is by far my favorite bbq sauce. Their potato salad and Mac and cheese are great as well. I was very pleased with their customer service. I highly recommend stopping in and giving it a try. We will returning next time we are in town.

This place is terrible. Expensive, tasteless , and everything came out cold. You can tell items were microwaved like the sausage. Warm outside and cold inside. No smoke ring on the dry brisket. Mac n cheese barely had cheese. Basically just cooked noodles. Thought we’d stop by a local family spot for some good bbq and we’re extremely let down. Waste of time and money. An insult to Texas BBQ. Do not come here. Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 1

Thanks to David's Old Fashion Pit Bbq Restaurant for providing our Thanksgiving meal. We've been wanting to try your food since we arrived 9 months ago and we were so thrilled when you announced your menu for Thanksgiving. We just sneaked a pre-taste and everything is delicious! Worst BBQ ever. The meat had no flavor at all. The bbq sauce came from a bottle and I assumed the beans were canned also. We spent $35 dollars for nothing. The only thing worse than the food was the service. If you want “old fashion pit bbq” do not go here. Terrible place to eat!! The chopped sandwich was quite good but the ribs were too small and a little overpriced in my opinion. The vegetables could use more seasonings. I'll give them another chance. Price per person $10–20 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
