My wife and I went here because my friend recommended it to me, and they absolutely disappointed me. Our french fries were not fresh. I also did not like the spices covering the chicken. That is not the way you make spicy chicken! The powder came off easily when breathing and went directly to my throat and made me cough multiple times. And honestly guys! What do I do with a soaky toast under my chicken strips? What is that for? Could not you just use a biscuit or a piece of bread with a better look and taste?!

Went for the no chicken vegetarian slider, it was okay but basically just tasted of cauliflower. They were charging more for it than the chicken, which felt a bit rich. Kids had the chicken options and said they were okay. It is nice to have vegetarian options like this in the area.

Great chicken sandwiches. Tried the medium and hot spice levels. For me, the medium is tasty, but a little like, “where’s the ‘hot’ in Dave’s Hot Chicken?” The hot is like, “oh, there it is.” They’re both good. Perfect for me would be something right in between. For now, I’ll switch back and forth depending on sweaty I feel like getting.
Definitely recommend.

2 Sliders W
I think this has to be my favorite chicken slider spot until I find a better one! Chicken is perfectly fried and juicy, and the flavors are always consistently on point. I always add the cheese to my slider to give it additional flavor, and their crinkle cut fries are another perfect side to pair with your chicken. The sliced pickles on the side also give it a nice touch and their Dave’s sauce is an amazing addition. Can’t say enough good things about Dave’s and can’t wait to come back!

Dave's 2 2 Sliders w Fries
We went here for a takeout. First time here and heard all the hype. We ordered HOT #3 that comes with 1 tender and 1 slider and fries and an extra hot single tender. Not the best fried chicken we ever had. The chicken tenders was covered with powdery dry spice and you can taste the burnt from it which made it worse. The slider wasn’t bad since all the extra makes it better. The fries were seasoned well.

After reading Christina L.'s (yelp elite) review, I had to come down to Sunnyvale and get a spicy chicken sandwich. Her spicy chicken sandwich photos were awesome. It makes it easier to see photos and order what my yelp friends order so that I don't get any surprises. Sometimes it can be disappointing to see it in person though. I ordered the #2, 2x sliders w/fries $15 and a soda $3. Mine didn't look as good as Christina L.'s. The medium spicy level was good. The spicy chicken sandwich was delicious! The bits of fresh coleslaw with pickles mixed well with the spicy chicken. The breading was crunchy. They did a good job of keeping the chicken moist on the inside. It was messy eating this. This won't be as good if I took it to go. The coleslaw juices and aioli sauce would have mess up the crunchy chicken. Next time, I'll only get one slider as they are pretty big. The two sliders this time got me pretty full. Good job Dave!
This was a true 5 star experience. Definitely up there for some of the best chicken tenders I've ever ordered and extra hot was plenty to handle if you love spicy food. Service to order was extremely quick, less than a couple minutes, and a 15-20 minute wait for food which paid off. Chicken was fresh and delicious, fries were perfectly crispy, and the milkshake was great. Will definitely come back again if I'm in the area.

I wanted to love this place but I didn't.
The medium spice chicken strips were a little more than medium hot, which is fine with me, but all I tasted was heat and salt with a powdery mouthfeel from the coating. I couldn't figure out what the stale bread was for under each of the chicken strips were too big for the bread slices to be wrapped it. I didn't get that many fries either. Since I personally hate thousand island type dressings, the honey option lubricated the coating to make it edible.
My family member ordered a side of kale slaw which I thought was bland.
On the plus side, the service and people were excellent and friendly. The chicken strips were a nice size and they were nice and juicy. I also liked the pickle slices, the best thing in both of our meals today.
For almost 30 bucks for two people to eat, without drinks, there are better places to spend your money. But if you do dine here, tip the workers, they aren't your slaves and are most likely future college students saving up.

This is the 1st restaurant I've been to where hot actually means hot. One bite made me sweat! We also got mild and they're safe for ppl who cant handle any spice but lacking flavor. Go here for the super spicy chicken bc that part was excellent - crispy, juicy, flavorful, and hot! Everything else (the bread, fries, shakes, sauce) was pretty mid. The atmosphere was interesting. It kinda reminds me of chuck e cheese in it's glory days but without the screaming kids. I'll be back when I feel like melting my stomach (in a month or so, we'll see)
