I can't recommend this place enough! We had a cooking lesson and we got to help make bread and couscous with them. All the people were very friendly and the food was delicious!! We had a wonderful time learning about the cuisine. Thank you so much to everyone at Dar Zriba we wish you all the success!

What a place! Probably my favourite from Tunisia! I didn’t k ow about this small restaurant as we went to see the abounded town originally. If you want to want to eat there, you have to “pre order” as they are bringing everything each day from town. There is no fridge and they are using block of ice to cool down drinks etc.
I was super lucky as I could go and see how they are cooking, all the rooms and talk to owner (with help of my driver as he was translating). He was expecting small tourist group for lunch but as I said, I was super lucky as he wanted me to taste his food so we have had lunch for free (I said no and paid for everything!) The restaurant is actually based in his grandparents house. The village itself is amazing and I was walking there by myself and could explore every single place. Just to warn you … take lots of water and hat with you!

Awla couscous is the title of joy, solidarity and family cooperation in Zriba el Olya
We did it and we trusted him.
Welcome to Dar Al Zariba to taste Al Aoula couscous. In short, located 50 km south of Tunis, it already has all the assets to develop sustainable tourism. Thanks to its potential, the region will very soon be expanded with the promotion of culinary and cultural experiences. An ecosystem made up of local actors with very diverse profiles (agriculture, tourism, catering, crafts, art) is already in place and particularly implied.

We were the only ones there. They had some of the best coffee in all of Tunis. Not too far from the city. Nice little day trip destination. I would recommend
