About
Nestled in the heart of Taghazout, Dar Josephine is a charming establishment that offers a delightful blend of French and Moroccan cuisine. The ambiance is warm and welcoming, with a cozy interior design that exudes a sense of comfort and relaxation. Prices are reasonable, with a promotion of salad, main course, and dessert for 120MAD. The restaurant is conveniently located on the main road, making it easily accessible to visitors. One of the standout dishes is the Lyon salad, which is a refreshing combination of greens, eggs, and bacon. The lasagna is also highly recommended, with layers of pasta, meat, and cheese baked to perfection. For dessert, the fondant is a must-try, with its rich and gooey chocolate center. The restaurant also caters to vegetarians, offering a variety of options on the menu. The eggplant parmesan and Moroccan salad are both flavorful and satisfying. While the presence of cats and dogs may not be for everyone, animal lovers will appreciate that the establishment is a safe haven for stray animals. The staff is friendly and accommodating, adding to the overall pleasant dining experience. In terms of beverages, the establishment offers a variety of soft drinks, as well as a selection of wines to complement the meal. The Accras and fondue are perfect for sharing with friends over a glass of wine. Overall, Dar Josephine is a fine dining spot that offers delicious food, a cozy atmosphere, and reasonable prices. It is a must-visit for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience in Taghazout.

The food was great especially lasagna but kinda overpriced, the service is not that good, very average. They make you pay for bread that you didn’t ask for to begin with. You can do better for sure! We have stayed in Taghazout for one week in October and honestly this was our favourite restaurant. In terms of quality of food you get for the same amount of money compared to the other places, the taste, the service, the deco… this was the best one! Thank you! (Also we have preordered slow cooked lamb for the dinner a day before - highly recommend!) Tasty food which didn't take too long to arrive even though they had a full house. Glad we had booked a table so we didn't miss out or have to wait. The decor is cute and quirky, creating an interesting, partially intimate setting feel. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

It has a unique and cozy decorated touch ✨️ but what I loved the most is their herbal mayonnaise it's the best one I tasted at Taghazout. Fish is okay too. They need to have TPE , to pay via credit card it's much easier . Meal type Dinner Price per person MAD 50–100 Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5
Not my favorite. I went there because I read a blog that mentioned their Tangine so I was excited to try. We'll they don't have Tangine until the weekend. Of the 4 vegetarian options listed only 2 were available and they were Italian options. Ok French people, making Italian food in Morocco - the math doesn't add up. We ordered a baked chicken dish which was bland and an onion soup which was also not savory. The worst part was the service, the server was confused when I asked for options that did not include tomato sauce (allergies). The owner crept up to listen in on the conversation, grined and offered no alternative. The soup was 40 MAD and the chicken was 65. But they made sure to charge me an extra 15 for water and bread or their inconvenience. Not worth the hype at all ... Skip this and go right next door for better food/service/experience. One of the two very good restaurants in taghazout. Service is good and the ambiente is Special. Its one of the more expensive restaurants but Its worth the Money. You should really make an reservation, it‘s always busy in the evening. My Recommedation is the roasted garlic chicken with potatoes. Stop crying if you dont get a table without reservation you little cry babies. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person MAD 100–150 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

Real cosy place esthetically. Food was ok but overpriced. Service was very basic and cold. Was given water and bread to the table without ordering and then charged for (the only place to do this in our whole trip). Wouldn't recommend much better places around Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person MAD 250–300 Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
Apparently having a baby present is enough to not get a table. We arrived at 6:30, there was nobody in the restaurant. I asked for a table & they told me it was fully booked. The people going in after me, who also had no reservations as I heard them say, got a table for 4 easily. Disgusting & discriminating. Meal type Dinner Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
Restaurant Dar Josephine: The food at Dar Josephine was very delicious and probably some of the best I’ve had here in Morocco so far. I got the roasted chicken with browned potatoes and it was pretty alright, the chicken was perfectly tender and the potatoes was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside however all of the food was covered in a odd tasting seasoning!!! My family ordered the vegetarian lasagna and a dish called accra which was a salad with vegetable “meatballs” and a orange chutney. They all really loved that food. So now you may be thinking ‘why would I rate Dar Josephine so low if the food was really good?’ Well to be completely honest the service sucked. The waiter walked away while we were giving him our order so we had to wait an additional 5 minutes to get the rest of the tables drinks. When the rest of my family was finished with their meal he came to grab their plates, i was still sitting eating my food, only half way through and grabbed my plate. I then had to tell him four times that I wasn’t finished eating and that he couldn’t take my plate. When that has been said they had really good vegetarian options and all of the food tasted fresh and homemade! Overall I rate Dar Josephine a 3/5 stars⭐️. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner
The food was really delicious, the staff were very kind .The menu that the restaurant offers is kinda the European style so if you are looking for local food i advice you to look somewhere else .
