Stopped in on our way to Oklahoma and Kansas. Had a double meat and triple meat. Both were very good. I recommend this dairy queen to anyone traveling thru mineral wells.
This is not the franchise Dairy Queen. This third generation family owned business has developed its own recipes. The portions were generous and tasty.Jalitos are fried strips of jalapeños. Definitely worth a try!

The best! 🍦Hickey’s DQ is a local favorite, but they don’t mind sharing their #1 food/ice cream spot with visitors. Owned by the Hickey family for multiple generations, this DQ is an iconic treasure of Mineral Wells! On my last visit, it was Sam Hickey’s 60th birthday, 🎂and there he was making fresh onion rings. Thank you, Sam, Charlee, and the rest of the Hickey family and staff for awesome treats, delicious eats! 🎉

I don't think I'm exaggerating when I say this is the best DQ in the state of Texas. It's certainly the best one from Mineral Wells to the west! From Blizzards to Burgers, they just do it the best! By the way, simplify your life and order a cheeseburger with mustard and jalapeños only. Simply delicious. Family owned/operated with family pride and atmosphere. Nice job.

I called in an order for 2 "combo" meals. Lady told me they don't have "combos"...!? I would have to order separate items to make up a "combo"....total bill came to nearly $48!!! You people are crazy. We ve eaten there years ago & DQ did infact have combos. Either an poorly trained employee or they did away with combos. Of course I canceled order. Went to Braum s. No more DQ. At least this location.

Now I understand what sets this DQ apart from other ones! They are family owned and this diner has been in their family for many generations! They are able to serve DQ items without having corporate over head like other ones. The STAFF is all related and they go above and beyond to make sure everything Great! They are the friendliest /happiest BEST service staff I have ever seen in any Dairy Queen!!
The food is AWESOME TOO!
They go above and beyond with their food items! The blizzards here are the BEST! They make sure that you get the topping mix/ flavor of your choice with alot mixed well into the blizzard. The topping mix is not just dumped on top like other DQ's.
Burgers and fries are GREAT!!
Chicken tenders and gravy yummy too!
It is small inside so make sure not to come during lunch rush and they are only opened during the week monday -friday.

There's two Dairy Queens in town but I like this one because it is locally owned instead of part of a corporate entity. You can definitely feel the difference in the quality of the food. There's more love here and you can see it in the smiles of the people that work here. Local for the win!
