I’m so happy this place is open again. It’s such an oasis of good food. The entire atmosphere is relaxing and the perfect spot for a family night out. My son loves the pork katzu and I enjoyed the vegetable udon dish. As appetizers we enjoyed steamed pork dumplings…. Perfect. Our server was amazing! Very efficient and professional. Sure will be back.

I used to love this place for the food quality. Well not anymore. All the dishes look good in the pictures but came with lot off fillers. It’s a shame. I am very disappointed because this restaurant is in my town and I can’t no longer stop by for sushi needs Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50 Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3
Food & Service is excellent. Atmosphere is okay. But value is lacking; a $28 Chirasi had merely 5 small pieces of sashimi, a couple crab/cucumber pieces and some salmon roe. Frankly, I felt like I paid a lot for a fancy bowl of rice. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

First, I stopped in and asked to see a menu. The man behind the counter pointed me to the QR code for the online menu. There were so many choices but no descriptions. When I commented that I didn't know what any of it was, he ignored me. I contemplated sitting down or going elsewhere because I couldn't read the menu. I decided to take a chance based on online reviews. Once seated, I was provided a paper menu with descriptions of each entree, which was very helpful. The server was in a rush and taking care of all the customers. I had some questions, and she was quick, and I got the impression she didn't want to be bothered. My meal arrived, and the Sushi maki was very delicious and fresh. Other than their AC was not working and it was very warm inside, I would definitely stop in again on a cooler day. Food: 5 Service: 3
Daikanyama is a great dining experience every time for me. I generally get the Makimono luncheon combo which has tuna, salmon and avocado rolls along with soup and a small salad. The quality is consistently AWESOME and the presentation is beautiful as you can see. Service is always very attentive. If you're looking for a great lunch meal, sushi specifically, this is the place to go in Lexington!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Service Take out Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

we went in and ordered takeout. the inside looked like a nice place to eat. we had 2 salmon and 1 nigiri specials. The nigiri looked gorgeous and were perfectly balanced with fish and rice, except the rice was a bit dried and broke off easily. the specials came with miso and salad. some of the salad leaves were big enough for a few bites. we had 1 order of unagi nigiri. it came with 2. it was also beautiful and tasty. our age-dashi tofu was a disappointment. we would come back again and dine in for a better taste. Service Take out Meal type Dinner Price per person $100+ Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

Daikanyama is a great restaurant. The food is very nicely done from the presentation to the taste. The menu has lots of great options from chicken katsu, crispy rice balls and great sushi options. The crispy rice balls pictured were so good. The taste of the sushi rice shines through nicely. You will pay a little more here than other sushi restaurants however it is reflected in everything that they do and is worth it.

I love this place, the atmosphere is relazing and I apreciate how you're able to reserve a (mostly) private space. The staff are extremely helpful, and they truly helped make my grandmother's birthday a pleasant experience. Although I love the current menu, I do miss the sushi menu before covid, as I am a vegetarian and miss some of their old rolls (the knowledgeable staff did help me get some of their old rolls though). Otherwise, my family and I am super excited about their Truffle Ramen. My mother mentions it every chance she gets and I totally agree with her. The truffle ramen is a must get. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30 Recommended dishes Sweet Potato Tempura

I was served with broken glass for the water and surprisingly, restaurant server did not notice until I pointed out to him. The lip was cracked and could cause severe injury to customers, I would never expect restaurant in such a high end town could experience such an incident...I wish them well and hope they can be more careful about this in the future.
