Really great restaurant. From start to end the service and food was great. Nothing super pretentious about it. Just really good food and service.
Closest restaurant I’ve been to like this is Cote in NYC but even this is miles ahead of it. Each meat was so well cooked by the person attending to us. A small thing but the ventilation in the restaurant was really good. Didn’t leave feeling like I was bathing in meat oil and sweat.
Each meat was simple but really straight to the point. Not too much dipping sauce, just the right amount. Each piece melts in your mouth. Tongue was particularly good.
Would highly recommend this place.

Had a great experience at Dawan! Was chatting with the staff and he was sharing with us that the whole company went for a 1 week holiday in Singapore and it was all paid for by the boss! He even shared that all the air fares trip was in business class and they stayed at the premium Marina Bay Sands hotel! Respect the boss taking care of his team and also the excellent service that the staff display. The food was great with interesting cuts of beef and the cooking by the team is spot on, right amt of grilling and resting and grilling to get the best flavours. I will come back here again if I’m in Taipei.
