Super friendly staff. They welcomed us in and kept checking on us. We had the three street tacos and the burrito bowl. Both were very good. The chip, salsa and black bean dip are all freshly made and so delicious. Drinks were also good, I chose the blue on because I love Malibu Rum and will always chose a drink that has it. This is a fairly new spot and I recommend giving them a try. Very clean and nice sized restaurant. D restaurant is a wonderful lunch or dinner spot in Waxahachie. The owners are amazing people who will leave you with a smile on your face every time. The food is incredible, I’ll always suggest starting with the empanadas! Perfect seasoned house-made chips and so many meal options to choose from, I’ll be returning to D Restaurant every time I’m in town. I recently dined at a delightful local Latin restaurant in Waxahachie, and I must say, the experience was exceptional. The food was nothing short of amazing, and the service was both fast and friendly. I indulged in a trio of tacos – the brisket, pastor, and chicken varieties – each bursting with authentic flavors that transported me straight to the heart of Latin America. One standout element was the chips, which were not only delicious but uniquely crafted. Paired with the salsa that struck a perfect balance between sweetness and bold flavors, they made for an appetizing start to the meal. The rice and beans, a staple in Mexican cuisine, were elevated to a level beyond what I've encountered in most eateries of this genre. What truly made this dining experience memorable was not just the delectable food, but the genuine hospitality of the staff. They ensured that I felt welcome and attended to throughout my visit, making it clear that they take pride in their service. As for the price, at around $15 per person, it felt like an absolute steal for the quality of food and service provided. I left the restaurant already planning my return. If you're looking for an exceptional Latin dining experience that won't break the bank, this restaurant is undoubtedly a must-visit. The shrimp cocktail was amazingly flavorful and I also really enjoyed their empanada. We enjoyed the taco trio although the meat seemed pretty dry on all three of them, wish it came with some type of salsa. Was not a fan of their rice or beans. Nice decor and clean restrooms. The hostess and manager were very friendly and nice, but it was downhill from there service wise. Service was pretty lackluster to say the least as our waitress was also taking care of a large party of probably 20+ people. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50 Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Empanadas

10 out of 10!!! D Restaurant was amazing, I had the chicken tinga bites to start off (photo below), the Sam’s sour cream enchiladas and they were absolutely perfect and for dessert the empanadas and churros!!! The flavors were outstanding and make sure to ask for their green salsa! The staff was so friendly and professional and the ambiance made me feel right at home. The parking lot is past the entrance and to the left. I highly recommend it, and I’m excited to go back and try the rest of the menu! Service and food was excellent. I asked if they could make a dairy and meat free dish for me. Chef and server suggested a veggie burrito bowl. It was filled with a nice variety of vegetables, lettuce and black beans. Seasoned just right. The homemade crispy chips with black bean dip was so good also. Very much enjoyed my meal. D’s is amazing!! Not only is the food, service, and bartender amazing, but the owners are just the best people around. Tonight we had the shrimp pasta (our FAV!) and chicken enchiladas with an amaretto sour & a margarita. It was all delicious! Great food and great patio!! Love the unique flavors offered and the drinks prices are fantastic. Will be back! Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
Went for breakfast and had d’amigos tacos. They were so so good. Loved every bite. The side of potatoes - while well seasoned and a generous portion - fell flat for me. Not a lot of flavor. Could use some onions and more spice. But overall loved our experience. Service Dine in Meal type Breakfast Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
We have storage at Steel Roots Storage (awesome place). While out here we try to hit local places and this place was AMAZING! Latin cuisine food and it was all delicious. Had the cheese enchiladas, street tacos, guacamole, and finished off with churro bites. The drink choices looked great as well. The service and atmosphere were all great. I highly recommend!
