This is the absolute best catfish I've ever had. Light, tender, flaky without the fishy taste. They have the perfect way to prep it. Everything we had was delicious. Great atmosphere, friendly wait staff. We were greeted at the door by the owner and treated like we really mattered to be there. This is a must-stop for us from now on. This place has been here for DECADES. We've driven past this place a lot over the years. We finally stopped as we were in the area and it was dinner time. Time forgot this place. This is the roadside place you hear about where the food and the decor hasn't been updated in decades. This is not a bad thing necessarily as I suspect you're not stopping in to look at the walls and interpret the artwork. Lots of locals in this place. Folks walking in and calling each other by first names was not an uncommon thing. This place filled up while we were sitting there but I didn't notice a wait. Heads up - They push the AYCE catfish HARD. They do Catfish really well. It would be hard not to considering how much of the stuff comes out of the kitchen. It's good and tastes clean so I'm assuming it's farm raised and not fresh caught. The batter is typical corn meal and it's deep fried as it should be. PROTIP: Unless you have a plan to walk out of this place absolutely miserable with the all you can eat plan stick with the single catfish plate, it has plenty on it with the accompanying sides and bread. Save yourself a couple bucks. You should make a stop in here if time allows. It's easy off and on I-40 and not fast food. FANTASTIC!! Was parked at the Sinclair next door ...Thought I would chk this place out. I knew before I even walked in it was gonna be good because of the kind of folks sitting inside plus, it was packed. Ordered the Chicken fried steak to go. Some of the best gravy I have ever had poured over a steak that was fork apart Perfect. Fabulous meal. My waitress was on point in spite of the full house. The elderly gentleman that rang up my meal said they had been there 45 years! I can totally see why. Give people a good meal for a good price. Will definitely make a point of stopping back in. Food was good, staff was great. Our waitress Sam was very friendly and helpful. Even though first time in, she treated you like you were a regular. It's a small diner off the highway, but one of those good home in the wall aves to eat. Had the all you can eat fish and chicken and both had great flavors. We were told that they make it themselves. I am assuming the older man was the owner but very nice and polite. I had to laugh to myself because the diner is very dated with the waitress dresses like something you would see on Mel's Diner (TV sitcom). If pass that way again, will definitely stop there and eat and say hello to Sam. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20
A neat little place we stopped at while traveling through OK. Great food, (the cucumber slaw is great!) wholesome atmosphere, obviously a local favorite, and meeting the owner, Mr. Watson, was a joy. If we ever get to return to this area, this will be a definite stopping place! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20
This place is a must! We stopped by for dinner on our cross country road trip, great homemade food, great host and servers, wish we had a place like this near us. I ordered the seafood platter - fish, shrimp, clams, definitely recommend. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $1–10
