Went there to celebrate my birthday with a friend. It was the first time there. The staff was super friendly, the decor was fantastic show casing famous African American leaders and historical figures. Very nice atmosphere with the Motown sounds playing in the background. The dinner that I had (Bar B Que meatloaf, yams, green beans and cornbread) was off the chain. I really enjoyed my meal. I would lightly recommend this place to anyone looking for a GOOD soul meal. I tried this cuppy’s location last year, and it wasn’t anything to write home about. I ordered it for lunch recently, and I definitely didn’t expect it to be this good. The chicken was well seasoned, moist, and crispy. The food was so good, that I ordered it 2 days in a row 😋. Went for my birthday on February 8th and had an incredible meal. All the food was really good, we got appetizers that were super tasty and you could tell everything was cooked, breaded, and seasoned with care. The waitress and hostess were very nice and when we left a woman who I believed to be a boss/owner or something along those lines made sure to ask us if everything tasted good and if we had a nice time, to which I told her absolutely! Cuppys doesn't have a bad bite of food ever..amazing homemade soups and desserts as well as tons of fantastic soul food including the catfish and angel eggs. Our whole extended family can't get enough of their food. Bri and the rest of the staff are ALWAYS friendly and genuinely happy to see us.
