My wife and I went for happy hour, but were delayed by crazy traffic coming from VA. Immediately ordered margaritas and appetizers. We were meeting my daughter and her wife. They arrived first, and had started food and drink. We both ordered 2 margaritas to relax, and catch up on the festivities. The margaritas were too sweet for our tastes. My wife addressed that with an extra shot, then switched to the mohito. Food was better. The mini Cubano was tasty, with a perfectly light crunch. The empenadas were good, and we both liked the dipping sauce. The garlic shrimp was nice, with good pieces of garlic. Overall I feel a 4 star review is better. Service was spotty, and there's not much ambiance, but the food deserves better than "ok." Worth another visit to try an entrée. We have been coming to Cubano's for well over 10 years, almost every time we're in town. Our whole family has informal reunions there at least 3 or 4 times a year. The staff is so welcoming and cordial. The ambience appealing. But the food? Well, that is superb and authentic. No matter what we try, it's delicious and plentiful. The variety is excellent. The pricing is on par and not over the top. The desserts are scrumptious...the Flan is perfect! And their Mojotos are legendary. So, what are you waiting for? Once you go, you will want to return many times.

Stopped in here for dinner before the show. Food was delicious! I had the Vaca Frita, Arroz con Moros y Cristianos, Maduros, and Yucca Frita with a Mojito. The tomato and garlic dipping sauce with the yucca was on point! Highly recommend! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50 Recommended dishes Sweet Plantains

I came here this past Saturday, it was nice, good music playing, not too busy. Loved the service! The server was very attentive, but also not too intrusive. The mojito was made to perfection. I ordered “la ropa vieja” and it was fantastic. I love how everything complimented so well. The food came out at a good pace. We got the tres leches for dessert and it was amazing. Definitely will come back :) it was also my first time coming. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30 Recommended dishes Masitas de Puerco Cuba Libre

I don’t recommend this place. Today I have my girl stopped there to get some garlic shrimp and ropa vieja. To much oil on the food. Her didn’t eat at all and just test a bit of my. You can see it on the picture. Please get a better chef. Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

Wow! Super friendly staff, and amazing food. My friends ran into a relative in Budapest (Frederico) who told them they must go, and I had the privilege of accompanying them. The drinks were great (and strong!) and the Paella, steak and gambas (shrimp) were all fantastic. I'm on Keto, and they were happy to substitute a nicely balanced, and perfectly cooked plate of vegetables for the rice. I have to admit, though, that I couldn't resist the yummy plantains that were on the plate with my steak!

We stopped by here on our way to a show in Silver Spring and we were just amazed! First of all, friendly staff, they were very accomodating and answered whatever questions we had about the food. Of course we had to go for Mojitos for drinks. I felt they were strong, but so delicious. Food itself was awesome, I gotta say the Masitas de Puerco were on point. The plate was left clean after the fact! I thought the portions were great for the price point. Gotta love Cuban cuisine, this is one of my favorite in the DMV area.
This is hands down one of my favorite restaurants in Silver Spring! The mojitos are the best!!! They also have amazing steak dishes (literally all of them are great). The staff are very accommodating and respectful, they make sure you feel welcome and are enjoying yourself. I come here all the time, Cubanos is the best!
