The best of the local traditional pubs on the fan walk, from Buitengragh street to Cape Town Stadium. The atmosphere is that of and old English Corner pub complete with the long bar and individual private seating. Extremely cosy and private.
Distinctly dive-like for the Cape Town CBD. Not a great place unless you're just looking for a quick drink.
Came during a quiet weekday and the drinks specials and friendly staff made for a 5 star experience. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Very nice place, very friendly staff and affordable drinks - the don't sell food but you may bring your own and eat there.
Main reason for this rating is the memories, if the walls could talk my goodness the stories they could tell. This bar is an icon in Cape Towns nightlife. On a less nostalgic note the service was okay and beverages served cold

One of my favourate spots! Has a great history, and daily Happy Hour from 17:00-19:00. Has a great regular crew that frequents this amazing pub! If you looking to meet great locals from all walks of life, this is the place to go. Beers are a tad pricey, but it's a great way of filtering out the so-called unwanted elements. If you forget something behind, be assured, one of the regulars will come running up to you, and ensure you get whatever you left behind. Really great place for a drink after work, or to catch a sport game with friends... And foes 😂😂😂
