Tablecloths downstairs, bar food upstairs. Both tables have an ocean view, it's a very, very nice place. In business since 1969 on the Santa Cruz harbor. Try the famous clam chowder - delicious, and then I had the fish and chips. Home battered, with home made tartar sauce, and solid fries. The fish was solid meat, not soft like other versions. Take friends, take the GF. Great service, Greg! Next time I'll try the calamari.

Down at the Crow's Nest Restaurant in Santa Cruz with my old pal Gilgamore Stumphealer the freelance journalist for the Happensack Hero out in Racksburg, and as he puts it..the only publication with big enough huevos to publish the actual news without lies and cover ups. He said he has an upcoming series on the Tic Tic UFOs and the alien pilots that were downed in Wyoming this past June. The article is going to rock the world, because he's got pictures and videos that are indisputable! Can't wait.
He tells me the Crow's Nest is about the best restaurant in Santa Cruz, and I believe him, cause he's a seeker of truth, so here I am. The food was Amazing! 5 stars ☆☆☆☆☆
Love the atmosphere here. The ocean views are so perfect! It’s been a Santa Cruz staple for a long time. The outdoor seating on a nice day is beautiful. You can dine downstairs in the restaurant or upstairs in the bar area. On Sunday nights they have live comedy, and it’s super fun to go with friends.
Today’s finds were smoked salmon bites which were delicious with a nice dipping sauce. The clam chowder is thick and flavorful. Tempura prawns are perfectly crunchy. The French dip sandwich has a super tasty au jus. I’m ending this all with a perfectly torched sugar on the crème brûlée and a delicious cup of coffee to end the evening.
The salad bar here is very popular and has lots to choose from. It’s located on Twin Lakes beach in the Santa Cruz harbor. Next time you’re in Santa Cruz or if you’re a local, you already know where to go. They also have a cute little beach market with great souvenirs, gifts, food and coffee as well.

We LOVE this place! The food is amazingly delicious! The atmosphere here feels welcoming, and we always ask to be seated upstairs because the view of the msrina and lighthouse is stunning. The service is also incredible. Our go-to spot in the area.
