Though I like pets this is a preparation food area , So if you don't care for animals in restaurant this might sway your decision. Three dogs that were there while I was were very well controlled by owners. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Had a delicious carrot cake Bundt cake! My latte was good - I should’ve asked for more espresso 🤪 great to-go experience! Service Take out Meal type Other Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Crossroads is one of my favorite coffee shops in the Madison area. It is modern but has a small-town, everyone-knows-your-name feel. The staff are friendly and so are the other customers! Since they remodeled there is a lot more space and seating options like couches, large tables, and social seating around a fireplace. The food and coffee are great, too! The Americano tasted horrible! (they put lukewarm unfiltered water into it from a regular faucet instead of filling it with hot water going through the coffee in the expresso machine). I ordered just coffee to go, paid for it ($4.00 including tip), & walked over to where they make it & hand it to you. But instead of coming & making my coffee (which just takes them less than 10 seconds), the older woman worker stood there & Waited for her friends/regulars she knew calling by name as they were walking up to the counter, & she started having a conversation with them & took the order of one of them & got her the food out of the display, put it into a container, ... making me wait before making my coffee. I had to walk back over to her when she was taking the order of the next woman & asked if she could just make my coffee quick before getting more orders & food for people who walked up to the counter AFTER me. She did not apologize to me but instead seemed annoyed that I asked her to make my coffee quick before taking more orders. She put water from the faucet into a cup & then put it under the coffee maker & walked away from it, back to finish her conversation with her friends & taking her other friend's orders. I watched my coffee finished pouring into the cup & I waited, & again I had to walk over to her & asked her, before she got the next woman's food, could she please just hand me my coffee quick, so I would not be late waiting unnecessarily. She came over to my part of the counter, grabbed my coffee, handed it to me, made a rude comment, & went back to her friends. It was Obvious where her priorities were! Nice local place if you are in town. As far as teas, coffee and food selection go, it’s in the basic side. Good macarons and baked items. Have not gone for any events yet. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
