Calling here a local favorite might be an understatement. Crandall's was previously a must visit on every visit to Tortola and I recently went after a couple years. The saltfish paté is my #1 and is a perfect combination of saltfish and dough. I tried their salmon addition and this is now on my list of must haves.
For the working crowd, this place is a lifesaver, as it opens very early in the morning so you can get a tasty scrambled egg sandwich or an assortment of patties (fried or baked) including beef, shrimp, salted fish (yum!), conch and more. Fish (whole) and chicken thighs are deep fried, island still, but way overdone for my taste. See menu for their offerings. Don’t count on coffee, unless you like instant 😖

A small place that serves the most wonderful patties. I find these delicacies better than the Jamaican Patties they resemble. We had the vegetable and the chicken patties. The fried dough contained a delicious curried chicken or vegetable which were not overpowered by the seasoning. I would go back to Tortola just for a taste of these!
The best place to grab a meal when you are on the go. Crandall's signature dishes are its pates which are available in such flavors as chicken and beef. But they also serve a wide variety of other foods from traditional breakfast fare like bacon and eggs. To its lunch menu which is headlined by their baked chicken.
This is a must visit when you are on the island. Crandall's has a fabulous selection of pates, fried and baked. Get there early because they often run out before they close.
