Arrived on a night that a test menu had started. Missed my greens and pinto beans. Talked with corporate ladies from Nashville who were in restaurant to get feedback on new items. We were able to voice our opinions to them as well as the marketing individuals who were moving about restaurant. We had the New York strip steak, and the beef tips with tenders and shrimp. I must say that I have had better steaks and I would rather come to Cracker Barrel for a down home southern style meal with all the fixins. We will be back and we hope that there were enough people in Texas that missed their greens and pinto beans that we will see them appear back on the menu. Great food! This Cracker Barrel has one of the only experimental menus, and the new menu items are delicious! We had the hash brown casserole which is going to be a go-to for us now, and the crispy tenders. The crispy tenders were good, but I liked the sauces they provided even more! I had the Nashville hot, buffalo ranch and hot honey sauces. Really great food and a nice home-y atmosphere! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

Kate was the server and she was awesome with the kids as well as the grownups. The food seemed more cafeteria-like today instead of home-cooked. The dining area seemed a lot darker than normal. The people were all very pleasant. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
We had Blerina and got the worst service we’ve ever had at any restaurant. Not only did it take about 30 minutes for her to take our order, but many of our requests were actually brought out as the opposite of what we asked. (Steak well done instead of rare, drink extra sweet instead of half sweet, brown gravy instead of white) And to top it off, when they brought out our food, I was told they didn’t have the food I ordered and I needed to get something else. I had been waiting for about an hour and a half to eat at this point. We have had decent service here before, but make sure you get a different server if you come here. I've been to this location a couple of times. Great food. I usually get chicken fried chicken. Got something different today, the chicken dumplings. It was yummy.... brought the leftovers home. Was eating it for dinner. I was chewing on pieces that I thought were part of the chicken and took it out of my mouth....I pulled it apart, and it was freaking plastic. I almost swallowed this thing.. Service Dine in Price per person $10–20 Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3
Service was just okay. Went for breakfast. Got the Old Timer breakfast with the hash brown casserole. When my plate came the casserole was OBVIOUSLY burnt. Not only did it make it out of the kitchen but the food server had to have seen it too and did nothing about it. Also I was told that biscuits were not available at that time and that I would have them in 5 minutes. Well I never received them. Food sometimes can be a hit or miss. But today, my food was a 9! :) My burger & fries were amazing and the warm chocolate fudge cake was out of this world! :) The hostess acted mad, our waitress wasn't very friendly or attentive until the end getting near the tip stage. :/ They didn't bring out the full basket of biscuits that they usually do... just two over baked ones. :/ Berry tea was amazing! The lady that helped me with finding a store item was great! :) We love Cracker Barrel! :) Service Dine in Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

It's hard to go wrong with Cracker Barrel, good food, good service and decent prices. They are always busy but do their best to seat you quickly! Chicken fried chicken is my go-to, and the pancakes are awesome! Also, the little store has a bunch of fun and neat stuff as well! Good food, quick service, but sitting in front of the roaring fireplace was a tad too hot for my liking haha. Will be back. Service Dine in Meal type Brunch Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3
Country Fried Turkey Dinner is now available and oh man is it good! We don't have any Cracker Barrel restaurants in the San Francisco Bay area where I live. So anytime I visit my daughter here in Benbrook, Texas we make a point of having a meal here. Apparently, today was the very first day for the Country Fried Turkey Dinner ($12.49) and we decided to try it and we're not disappointed in any way! That turkey was moist and delicious and crunchy! Covered in some country gravy with a cranberry sauce served on the side. We like it on top of the whole thing so you get a little bit of all the taste together. Total winner 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆 We also ordered the Maple Bacon Grilled Chicken lunch /dinner ($12.99). Super yummy. Served with two sides, I got Mac and Cheese and the Hash Brown Casserole Tots from the premium side so they cost me an extra $1.99. Golf ball sized balls of mashed potatoes with cheese, sour cream and maybe a touch of chive all rolled, batter dipped and deep fried. No regrets, they were totally worth the extra money. After we were done eating we packed up two full leftover boxes, we're going to get a couple more meals out of those servings 😂. Paid by QR code straight from the table using my phone. This is something that hasn't seem to catch on in the Bay Area, but I would very much like it if it did! A big part of Cracker Barrel seems to be their gift shop and for good reason, it's awesome! They're ready for Christmas and have some of the neatest decorations and other Christmas gifts available. If I lived here, everybody in my family would be getting something from Cracker Barrel for Christmas and they'd love it! As it is, I made some purchases to take back with me. Great for those travel gifts for people who are difficult to find something for. I have included photos of many of the things that caught my eye. Lord knows I love some sparkle! As for the service, it was excellent. We were seated immediately and our server was prompt in taking our order. And visited the table several times with pictures to refill drinks if necessary. Very sweet! For the restaurant ambiance I gave them four stars because it's difficult to be perfect. When there is a crowd, it can be a little loud. Not the restaurants fault in any way. If their food wasn't so dang good, it would have been much less crowded at 11:00 on a Tuesday morning. 🤣 Thank you Cracker Barrel for another delicious meal. Even though I don't live here, I have joined your rewards program so I have good reason to come back! 💜 Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes Fried Apples
