I took my mom and son tonight and although extremely busy we had the best experience ever. Our waitress Kennedy was amazing. Juggling several tables she still gave us excellent service. She made sure we had everything we needed and refills were on the table before asking. I had the catfish and it was delicious 😋 my son had chicken and waffles and mom had chicken fried steak. The gift shop had some great gift ideas and I got some old fashioned candy canes. Waitress was super nice and excellent service. Food came out super quick, considering it was lunchtime on a Saturday. While everything looked delicious and cooked correctly, but it was the most bland food we'd ever had. Like they don't use any seasoning. Unfortunately, we will probably never return. The food was good- per usual. Huge servings of fried chicken. The roast beef serving was meager. But what lost the star was the service. Our server (shoot, I meant to catch her name but it wasn't a name you hear everyday. Young Caucasian girl. Katem (?) or something...) she was not attentive. We saw her once to take our order (after waiting) and once for the check (we had to ask her for it.) Other people brought our food, we asked another waitress for the apple butter. Tequila brought our apple butter and rolls. Maybe we'll ask for Tequila to be our server next time. The food took a little while to come out but the food waa good. The hot chocolate was warm but not hot. The cheesecake pancakes were perfect in sweetness and the strawberry jam. The benny breakfast was good as well with the holandaise sauce. Grandmas sampler is always a classic !
