I had the patty melt with French fries and a bread pudding for dessert. Wife had the Monday special ( Chicken fried chicken) With country fries and fried okra, With a slice of key lime pie for dessert. Is food and service better than expected definitely 5 stars It's all over! This is a quaint diner that could use a little more decor. Our server was very nice. I ordered the Ruben Sandwich and it was the worst I have ever seen. While the marble rye was very good, it was soggy from the butter not being toasted on the grill. The so called corned beef was left over something like dried out sliced shoe leather. I’m not even sure the meat was corned beef. A slice of fake Kraft single cheese was added. For a $10 sandwich I would have expected better. I should have ordered the pancakes.
