Christina is an awesome GM. For everyone complaining about the lighting. It’s fine and I don’t see how it’s dark? The food and staff was on point. One of my go to restaurants here in Plainview. Susan is a great waitress. Super nice and professional. 12/10 :) Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Visited for the first time tonight to this particular Cotton Patch and never seen a Cotton Patch so poorly operated. Restaurant is old and not well kept or cleaned. Trim at our booth hand been missing for a long time. Place looked generally worn down from use in dining area. There was dust all over the top of the booth wall and metal art. Lighting was so low it was hard to read the glossy menus for even my kids. Took about 25 minutes to get appetizers. Drinks never refilled. Food took about 45 minutes. My steak filet had no flavor and presented very poorly. Didn’t get my loaded mashed potatoes until meal was over. But they turned out to be only cheese and potatoes. We saw the staff repeatedly over in their areas watching their phones alone and together or visiting in general. My son saw our food setting for 10+ minutes at kitchen. All this and never more than 5 tables of guests filled. Now we know why. We did see/hear the manager trying to get staff moving several times. So very disappointed with this particular Cotton Patch. Waiter was nice, other staff was very disrespectful. Wife ordered a rare steak which came out after all the other food was out...cooked well done... Then mocked her about how it was cooked. Used to be a favorite of mine Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
I would love to leave 2 separate reviews, but that's not an option so I will settle with 3 stars. We are in town for a week, and dined in the first night in town. Christian was our server. He did an excellent job, really brought southern hospitality to light. Absolutely a 5 star review for him, and the food was very good. We left him a great tip and enjoyed our evening there. A few days later, we came back and had the "pleasure" of Adriana C being our server. Very unfriendly, and very poor service. Spent most of her time in the corner on her phone, while all of our drinks ran out and didn't get rolls till we asked the third time. The food came out and was incorrect, and she argued with us about it so we let it be. No spoons came with the soup, and we ended up asking a different waitress for them because she didn't come back for over 15 mins. The food was very lackluster, and definitely not worth the $93 for 4 of us. I highly recommend this restaurant on a good night, but we won't be coming back due to our second experience. Place was referred to us by a friend. It did not disappoint! Tried the famous deep fried bacon and the fried mushrooms. The mushrooms were huge!! Awsome on both. I had the chicken fried steak and mashed potatoes. Home cooked. One of the best I ever had. The staff was super friendly! I highly recommend if your in the area. This was going to be my second visit to this establishment. Got here right at 830 pm. I know the restaurant closes at 930 but come on. There’s hours on there for a reason. They just gave us rude looks no greeting at all. I felt very unwelcome. I just hope it’s not like this the next time I decide to visit. I just got up and left. Hopefully management actually read these. Food: 5 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

We ate at the Cotton Patch restaurant in Plainview on July 11, 2023. We were surprised to find that it is actually in a strip center rather than a freestanding building like the others we had seen before. We were seated quickly and the service was good throughout the entire meal. I had the lemon herb grilled salmon, which was very tasty, and my husband had the Dr. Pepper jalapeno bacon burger, which he thought was delicious. Although we went at lunchtime, the restaurant wasn't terribly busy, but it wasn't deserted either. If we make it back to Plainview, we definitely wouldn't mind going back. Didn’t know how I wanted to word this but I’m am beyond upset this isn’t the first second or third time we have had issues with the restaurant but this one really pushed it for me. We ordered our cornbread as soon as we got her told it would take 25 minutes we were okay with that but we got it in a to go box 45 mins Later. One of our drinks was to be a unsweetened tea as you can see they started to pour strawberry lemonade into the glass just poured it out and put the tea. My daughters burger was under cooked when we got the new one we realized it was only half a patty, (which we were told that is the way it comes for kids) 🤦‍♀️. After complaining the manager took care of our bill (which we had no issue taking care of) I’m just beyond flabbergasted they did offer a free dessert. Management was stellar
