My first time at this place. My husband comes all the time. Now I feel betrayed. Amazing soul/comfort food. The fried chicken was just like my mothers, and that is saying something. The mac & cheese was for real. Collard greens were so authentic, It was like I traveled back in time. The owner greeted us as soon as we walked in. The sweet tea was good and southern. As it should be. She hugged my husband‘s neck. And knew what he wanted to order. Why is the wife always the last one to know? The street in front of the restaurant is torn up and closed to traffic. We had to park at the children’s advocacy center and drive through their parking lot to get to Cotton’s. It was well worth the hunt. My lunch was served in a Styrofoam clamshell of which I was grateful. My plan was to eat only half and save the rest for dinner. Alas, my self-control vanished. I am now stuffed and feeling slightly guilty, but I will be back. And if my husband is lucky, I will even bring him along. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Macaroni and Cheese

Outstanding home cooked southern or soul food. A little hard to get to because of road construction but well worth the trouble. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes Peach Cobbler
