Stumbled upon this place and saw good reviews in Google so decided to try. Although the wait for food took awhile, I think this is one of those worth the wait kind of food. The soup came out hot, every dish was nice and yummy. Overall, would recommend it. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person RM 20–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
If you’re looking for nice nyonya food, here is definitely a place that you can’t miss. We have friends who are spicy intolerant so we try to order not spicy options. We ordered 4 dishes, it’s not so spicy and we think the flavour is good. However the portion is slightly small, if you’re not in budget trip like us you may try to get bigger options or more dishes. Came here on a public holiday but to my surprise there was a table available. Dishes looks really spicy but it was actually not at all which maybe a good or a bad thing depending on your taste; as for me it was perfect as i have a low tolerance for spicy food. Everything we ordered was cooked perfectly and flavourful. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3 Recommended dishes Pedas Kepala Ikan Nyonya
Fresh cooked Nyonya dishes... fully satisfied with all our order. Good services provided. Jenahak Asam Pedas and chicken kapitan really tasty until we ensure not even a sigle drop left 😅. A bit overrated especially for the price and portions (the food rating here accounts for price). Good: Cendol (must order), Ayam Pongteh (great sauce). The rest was mostly average, and for the price, was not impressive, hence the lower rating. If you’re going to order rice, order bigger. Small was like the size of a child’s fist. First time trying Nyonya dishes. The dishes are not very spicy although it may look like it, I believe other restaurants will serve it even more spicy. All the dishes were executed with perfection and are delicious. It will set as my benchmark to compare when trying other restaurants. Arrived around 1pm on Sunday (Christmas Eve) and there is a short waiting time around 10 to 15 mins. No staff will be standing by the door for you to ask about the queue, you will have to write down your name, phone number and number of pax on a list outside and wait for the staff to call you once there is an available table Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes Ayam Buah Keluak

The food is taste excellent, the cendol taste good with gula Melaka and the other dishes is above average. The environment is not bad, local and classic. But the price is also above average. The portion is too small with the price. And the space of the shop is a bit packed. Went Cottage Spices twice over our weekend Melaka holiday. It is one of the best in town! Flavourful and good portion. Pongteh is good. The sambal for the steamed bendi is slightly different from our usual reference but it tastes nice. The sotong is very fresh and tender. Petai is crunchy, big and fresh. The sambal looks very spicy hot but actually not. It is a fragrant mix. Cendol is a must must must eat! Somehow the gula melaka on the Cendol tastes like salted caramel. Very smooth, buttery and we love it very much! Will eat again at cottage spices on our next melaka holiday. If you’re looking for some local Malacca taste, Cottage Spices Nyonya Restaurant is a stop that you definitely have to make on your trip. Freshest and the best local ingredients abd every bite is with a rich, natural taste. Freshly cooked food every order, the serving time will be approximately 15 minutes but is worth the wait. The cendol is a must try, best I have taken in malacca so far. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Ayam Goreng Nyonya
