Great experience. The service was excellent at the bar. The server at the table seemed super busy but pleasant. Supper was good and we can't wait to try more.Loved the Caviar and crudo!! Steak was a little tough. Beautiful open kitchen and that bar is amazing. Can't wait to return!! Costa is located in the Jasper building overlooking the water on Broad St. It’s absolutely beautiful and boasts a modern take on Italian food and will absolutely knock your socks off. Upon arriving, you’re greeted by the hostess and fully stocked bar. I recommend getting reservations because they are booked up. This is a hot new restaurant in town and they know how to treat you! I started off with a refreshing Vivaldi cocktail and our server gave us a great explanation the menu. We decided to order the scallop crudo, brooks focaccia, black truffle Mac n cheese, chicken porchettato, burrata, pecorino ravioli, and candele. Each dish was unique and amazing, but our favorites were the chicken, black truffle Mac, and the crudo. Everything was fresh and cooked perfectly. For dessert we got lemon tiramisu and can easily be split two ways. We also got the almond polenta cake and that was so scrumptious. I feel like this place will do well and I can’t wait to come back! Interesting place with a good menu and a refreshingly different atmosphere than most restaurants in Charleston! Prices were a bit higher than we expected and a few dishes were underwhelming for the price. Our favorites were the verticals roots green salad, the NY strip steak and the chef’s special birthday dessert (which absolutely blew our mind). We also enjoyed a specialty truffle pasta but for the price it was a very small serving. All in all a nice place but too expensive to be a “regular” Price per person $100+ Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

An amazing place. “Mediterranean cuisine with a flair of the Amalfi Coast.” One of the most exquisite menus in Charleston. Each item was phenomenal. My favorite was the beef carpaccio, shaved slices of wagyu beef with Thai spices, making each bite mouthwatering. You can’t go wrong here. Tip: the small plates of pasta are small. It’s best to order items to share for the table. Share the love! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $50–100 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Burrata

Our visit to Costa was a gastronomic delight. Highlights included perfectly prepared Scallop Crudo, decadent Truffle Pasta, creamy Burrata, and Gary's Eggplant Parmesan. The Chicken stole the show—cooked to perfection. Special mention to our waiter, Mark, whose kindness and attentiveness enhanced our dining experience. Costa, with its delectable Italian fare and exceptional service, has earned our enthusiastic recommendation. Can't wait to return! The view doesn’t hurt either 🫶🏼 Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $50–100 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Burrata
Last evening, my wife and I had the pleasure of dining at Costa, and I must say it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The restaurant itself is beautiful, the food was absolutely delicious, and the staff was welcoming and attentive leaving us with a truly memorable evening. Our server, Taylor was attentive, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable about the menu. Her recommendations were amazing. Everything we tried, we absolutely loved. She made sure that our dining experience was nothing short of perfect. To add to the wonderful service, the manager, Jovian, took the time to visit our table and ensure that we were enjoying our meal. He sent us drinks and a hand written card from the team at Costa because we were there celebrating our wedding anniversary. It was evident that the staff at Costa genuinely care about their guests' satisfaction, and this level of attentiveness really made our evening. We will definitely be returning for our next special occasion meal. Thank you to the entire team you were all lovely! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

"Stylishly beautiful restaurant with a real buzz and utterly wonderful approachable food. Not peasant cooking by any means but sophisticated takes on Italian coastal cooking. Oysters are widely available in Charleston and are almost uniformely less than wonderful (undersized, often served still attached to their shells and kinda bland) those we slurped tonight were meaty, briny and kissed with olive oil not overwhelmed by acidic condiments with the acid being delivered with a squeeze of netted cherry tomatoes. Almost too cute: but it works! House made Foccacia is perfect. The ubiquitous Burrata is fresh as can be and perked by Calabrian Chilies, Leeks and fresh herbs. The Primi list Green Salad is delivered as a perfect whole head of beautiful hydroponic lettuce adorned with a sparkle of salty Grana Padano, peperoncini, pistachios and zingy citrusy olive oil and vinegar. Pork Milanese would make any Viennese schnitzel-chef jealous and the portion is more than adequate for four diners. Our server advised that portions are scaled for sharing but the two of us each ordered a main - my wife chose the Chicken Porchettato a spin on the famous pork loin rolled and rotisseried classic. Succulent and more dainty than the classic and its Jus Gras and a spike of fresh rosmary is just right. Contorni for us was succulent roast Brocollini graced with more Grana Pradano and Calabrian Chili. Couldn't begin to finish it all but still sampled the dense but bitter-sweet and delicious Chocolate Torte nestled with a pillow of unsweetened meringue plus the Lemon Tiramisu with a spike of Coriander. The open kitchen looked like a well-oiled machined and the floor service was calm and efficient. We did not sample the wine or cocktail list on this visit but they are extensive with quality wines both by the glass and bottle. Well satisfied, we took away with us protiens and veg for at least two more meals. We will be back." Went for first time. Everything was excellent. I like pictures of food so I’m going to share what we had. For appetizers Panzanella, radicchio leaves on a gargonzola and pecan concoction. I don’t like anything blue cheesey but everyone else liked it. Burrata, an egg on a bread was delicious. The moltadella literally melted in your mouth. Entrees. I had the pork Milanese. It’s a lot. I suggest you ask for some marinara sauce to pour over it. One had the swordfish. Mouth watering good. Another the eggplant parmigiana. Again, enough for 2 people. My wife had the pasta truffle special. Expensive at $52 but she loved it. We didn’t have dessert. Our server was Tyler. Although young he knew the menu backwards and forwards. As Arnold says, I’ll be back. It’s also super accessible with a free parking garage in the building. The best culinary experience I’ve had in America to date. Rivaling European restaurants I’ve visited in multiple countries. Every dish is uniquely crafted with attention to different flavors, cultures, and techniques. You read the description but what is placed before you is a surprise each time which is very exciting when ordering. The quality of the food and the care put into each plate was truly impressive. The homage to Italy was prevalent throughout the menu and authentic. In addition our waiter Ashton was timely, knowledgeable, charismatic, and professional. I will request him each time and return as often as possible to this fantastic restaurant. As a local who frequents high-end restaurants as a hobby, I had very high expectations for this restaurant. Our server was adorable, knowledgeable. The atmosphere is beautiful, and gave me similar vibes to The Mermaid Inn in NYC! For someone who feels (usually) well versed with any menu, I was unsure about most offerings. High prices are nothing unusual, but wine priced at $18 a glass for a $23 bottle of wine? $175 NY Strip, as well? I got the swordfish, which was a bit overcooked, but still good. My boyfriend got the pork, which he said was strange, but good. We had 4 oysters for $24, which were pretty good! This isn't a bad review, whatsoever, but I felt underwhelmed, if that makes sense. I reserved this table in advance to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday, and I was kind of surprised there was no special touch for that. With all that being said, I'm surprised we spent less than $200, which is hard to do in Charleston! The average person will enjoy, I'm sure. This one to try, but doubtfully frequent again.
