A buddy of mine, and i meet here in Rockdale occasionally because it's halfway between where we each live. We normally meet at Lee's Landing, but they were closed. So i found Corona's on Google Maps. Great decision. The food was good. Our waitress was excellent. Comfortable setting. Unfortunately, we hadn't been here before because it's off the main road. We will be back. Just cruising through and got hungry on our way home. Good Mexican food that far from the border is a rarity, but thought we would give it a try. We were very pleasantly surprised. The feel of the restaurant from the colors to the furniture and decorations was very authentic Mexican! The salsa was better than 99% of the restaurants within an hour of the border. Just delicious. The Coronas enchiladas were what I ordered and they were all fantastic. Check this place out if you happen to be driving through and want good Mexican food. I gave 5 stars because even though the service from the first waiter was a little slow, another waiter noticed the lack of service and stepped right in to help us. How great is that!
Visited for the first time since The Pandemic. Staff were welcoming and friendly. The restaurant is well maintained and clean. My FIL had the Beef Barbacoa with charro beans and enjoyed the meal very much. My wife had the El Rey combo with refried beans and extra tortillas. The beef fajita was soooo delicious, the meat cooked to perfection and the rest was excellent. I had the Shrimp Avocado with beef enchilada and tortilla soup. The flavor of the avocado was good, but there could be more shrimp in the dish imo. The beef enchilada and tortilla soup were as expected. The chips and salsa brought to us was delicious, especially the creamy jalapeno. They have a good variety of beer to choose from and the food was reasonably priced. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20

First off the food was good. The service was understaffed, & unorganized. Host tried to seat people out of order. Queso arrived, but took 10 more minutes to get chips. The waitress had to many tables to handle. Enchiladas were good especially liked the pablano sauce. The barbacoa tacos were excellent. Staff was friendly, & I will try it again, hopefully they can hire more help. The meals & queso for $32, so it is affordable. Finally I had to tell the cashier what I had eaten in order to finally check out, 1 cashier, & ticket seemed to be lost. Cashier needs to be able to stay at their register.
Walked in and it was a quiet evening. We just had a major ice storm earlier in the week so was glad to see they were open. This is my first time visiting the restaurant. I've tried the other Mexican Restaurants in town and I think this one is my new favorite. The restaurant was a nice size. The wait staff was relatively attentive. They got to me right after I sat down and the food also came quick. After I arrived it started to get a little more busy so they never came back to refill my drink but that was ok because I didn't really need another one. The sweet tea was more of an XL size. The Chicken Enchiladas were excellent. Although next time I would get them with the regular sauce rather than queso. I just wanted to see what queso style they use. Overall I'm really happy with the restaurant and I'll be back with my family. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

Nice restaurant and the food is usually good. My favorite is the green sauce you can get with your chips. 💥💥 The service is just awful. It takes forever for them to notice you're there and when they do and leave to go get your drinks, be prepared to wait again. They are slow and not attentive to the customers needs Service Dine in Food: 4 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 5
