Delicious linner at Corkscrew Bar and Grill this afternoon. The restaurant was packed at 1:30 so we had a 30 minute wait. The service was not delightful (we were not acknowledged and had to bring it to a hostess attention 20 minutes after being seated), but we are kind and patient. Our waiter was new and having difficulties handling all of the tables in his section. I kept encouraging him to breath and smile. Give grace as it is given to you. Food was delicious as always! We had lunch here, and sat outside. Beautiful surroundings inside and out! The menu had everything we were looking for. We had the avocado salad, the blackened Mahi sandwich on gluten-free bread, and shared the appetizer special; which was deep fried red snapper bites with old bay dipping sauce...everything was delicious! Our server Jonathan was so sweet and made our vist great. The hostess was very friendly as well. Can't wait to go back! Our first time here and we will be back Lord wiling! It was amazing. All the food was flavorful, fresh and the service was amazing. Favorites were: Mahi Fish Dip, Seared Salmon, Roasted Veggie Sandwich, Parmesan Crusted Mahi and The Special for the night - OKAY EVERYTHING! Lol that includes EVERYTHING WE HAD. Except for the Cuban Candy Cod Bites. That was OK. Fresh, just bland on flavor. Would go back. Linzy was our Outstanding server!!! Also drinks were reasonably priced!! Pros: Located off of Canal Street near other stores and bars. The food is good and several drinks options are available. The price is reasonable and the food portions are large. Cons: Bar type seating and atmosphere with a few televisions. There is street parking (4 hours) and two parking lots behind the restaurant.
