I had to go over to Camden to try this place as there’s just not too many soul food spots in Philly. The food was pretty good on a first try, have to go back and get more.
I would highly recommend the friend pork chops, I got them smothered but would get them without gravy next time. They are seasoned great and fried to perfection. It comes with two and they’re very big.
I enjoyed the Mac and cheese but wouldn’t get rice and gravy as a side again. Not a fan of whatever is happening with the gravy, it’s way too much. The cornbread is kinda weak.
I think Miss Corrine sat me and she was friendly along with the other server.
Will be back to try more.
