We've eaten at the restaurant numerous times and loved it, however, last night was a near disaster. Worst service ever from a very nice server who kept blaming the kitchen and then disappearing. Tables all around us came and went having been served and eaten their dinner while we waited and waited and waited over 2.5 hours for a dinner that should have taken about an hour (based on previous experiences) or 90 minutes at the most. Would you like some soup? No. Would you like some salad? No. What we wanted was the dinner we had ordered. And then we made the mistake of ordering dessert - more waiting and waiting - were they growing carrots in the parking lot for the carrot cake while our server cleaned empty tables around us and put napkins on top of multiple bread plates? I got out my card to pay and leave and suddenly the cake appeared. I liked this guy on a personal level, but seriously...2.5 hours for this lackluster meal? If my previous experiences hadn't been better I'd never go back. And loud - oh my God it was loud in there - I could barely hear the people at my own table. I like a lively restaurant but this one was over the top. Finally, if one more server bumped into us...either take out a few tables so you have reasonable paths for your staff to walk, or hire thinner servers. A dinner we looked forward was not at all what we'd grown to expect from this place.

Tonight we celebrated Valentine's day a bit early due to my work schedule. We booked through OpenTable & added a note to be seated in a booth off to the side. Cooper's Hawk did an amazing job at accommodating our requests.
Started the meal with the calamari - sooo good(please excuse the picture, we dug in before I remembered to take a quick pic)! The sweet chili oil mixed with the salty calamari was an excellent touch. For the main course, we had the best thing Cooper's Hawk as to offer(besides the wine) on the menu...their short rib risotto. HANDS DOWN the best risotto anywhere in Orlando or anywhere in the U.S. for that matter. Highly recommend.
To top the night off, we chose the Smores dessert and it was absolutely delicious. Perfect amount of marshmallow, Graham cracker & custard.

This place is pricier but the food really is good. We got the pretzel pork chop, meatballs and burrata, short ribs, and peanut butter chocolate mousse. The sangria was passion fruit and reasonable for Orlando prices at 10$. Most wines are 15$ per glass and most entrees range around 30$. There are wine flights and a wine club. I love the little wine bar and shop in the front. A nice place for a date but it becomes very busy. We have had it so busy they wouldn't even take people on the list... So come early like 5pm or get a reservation.

I had the pleasure of visiting Cooper's Hawk Winery and Restaurant Waterford Lakes with my elderly mom, who is sick and uses an oxygen tank. She often feels uncomfortable in public places, never wanting to be a bother. However, from the moment we walked in, the staff did an amazing job of making her feel welcome and at home.
It's moments like these that I treasure the most with my mom, and I am incredibly thankful to be able to share these special times with her. As a long-time Coopers Hawk Member, I can confidently say that time and time again, I am reminded of how awesome it is to be a part of the Cooper's Hawk Family. Their exceptional service and warm hospitality truly make every visit memorable. Thank you, Cooper's Hawk, for making this experience so special for my mom and me.
