We are kind of barbecue brisket snobs so we try everywhere, ha ha. The brisket here was pretty good. Probably wouldn’t hack it against some of the best in West Texas but for San Diego it was above average. I actually thought their sides of potato salad and collard greens were exceptionally good. Great customer service, order was put together fast and ready to go. The price is kind of high for the amount of food that you get. The flavor of the food was okay, not the kinda cooking that your Mama or Grandma makes. I original went to pick up some peach cobbler here yesterday for my pastor Birthday. It was a welcoming atmosphere from the parking lot to inside the store, the aroma was wonderful so I decided to get him some food as well! He said the food and cobbler was delicious! If you are reading this review. Coop's BBQ never disappoints! I have been here several times over the years. A friend of mine was craving some BBQ for her birthday and I recommend Coop’s West Texas BBQ. We ordered half a rack of ribs, 1 pound of sausage, half a pound of pulled pork, corn bread, white bread, and a large order of mac and cheese. Everything was delicious! The ribs were fall off the bone good, the pulled pork was juicy, the corn bread was moist and not dense like some other spots, and the sausage was peppered just right. Each dish had so much flavor, what a meal. There are no tables(or seating) inside the restaurant, so be prepared for just take out. We ate at some picnic tables across the parking lot. The customer service was also excellent. Suemi was friendly and helpful. Coop's is a Lemon Grove Institution and my favorite BBQ in San Diego. I can't wait for my next visit. Eat up!!! On this episode of "Dave HUNGRY!!!" I went to Coops BBQ and ordered the Brisket Combo with Collard Greens and Mac & Cheese on the side. Every item was delicious. The Brisket was amazingly tender and flavorful. The food is Veddy Veddy Guud and the staff are very friendly. If you haven't been to this astablishment, I highly recommend you stop by and get some delicious BBQ. 5-Stars across the board. Keep up the good work guys! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Jeez, the pulled pork is succulent and juicy.. Add the spicy BBQ sauce and... Whoa. The staff is great and friendly which makes the atmosphere wonderful. Baby back ribs were super meaty and flavorful. What a great to go hang out lunch spot!
