I mean the food is sub par. It honestly is a hit or miss place. Sometimes the food is great, sometimes it is burnt/dry/and half frozen all at the same time. I am very curious on how the cooks manage to do that. The intercom sucks. You have to yell into it, and the person who is working it will most likely ask you to speak up several time, even if you are yelling. The people at the drive window do not put your food in a bag, and depending on who is working, it is a game of catch (this goes for food, drinks, and also money). Sometimes it is handed to you nicely, other times it is shoved at you. You should always be prepared or it will fall. Honestly I don’t really expect perfect service, I know what I am getting into when I come to cookout. Obviously the issues at this location will never change. So many bad reviews, and yet they all get the same auto generated message from “ the owner”. All the issues voiced in these reviews are still problems, so no one is listening anyways. Go to cookout, don’t go to cookout. Depending on the day, you might miss out on good food, or you might miss out on your drinks and food being thrown at you. I can deal with the rudeness from the employees but this BBQ Chicken is a disgrace to the soul that was sacrificed. The chicken used for this should have been set free instead of slaughtered to be this. Do better CookOut . Rude employees. First time visiting the town of statesboro & the cookout establishment. I went at almost 11pm after driving all day to make it to this town to visit family. I was rushed to order several times. I can’t decide what I want in under a minute if you have what it seems like over 100 menu options jumbled on the screen with no images & this is my first time here on top of that, so I have no idea what this place had to offer. There are two drive thru lane, there was no one behind me or in the other lane. What’s the rush? The best thing was the fries & the hush puppies & even that was 2 stars. I got the bbq chicken sandwich, taste like it was cooked in Newport cigarettes smoke. Pull up to the pickup window & employees arguing with customers in the parking lot. Never did I think I would be as disappointed in fast food as I was today. I came for a good experience, but left with a new least favorite establishment. After all of the hype I had heard from a friend, I can safely say that they must have a poor taste in food. The service was slower than a sloth, and the quality was questionable. The onion rings were burnt and the fries were flavorless. The burger was a bit burnt as well. The only thing that remotely was ok was the coke float. I wish there was an option to put negative stars. This place should be shut down. The service was NON existing. We waited dam near 30 minutes in the drive-through. 3 people next to us left. When the guy started talking, he was not only screaming at us through the mic, but he wouldn't even let us finish talking before he cut us off to ask us the next question. The window to the drive-through looked like 12 milkshakes had been spilled on it, and nobody has cleaned it in months. Our food was SHOVED to us with no bag, just 4 to go containers stacked on top of each other. No napkins. The order of onion rings had THREE onion rings. The cheese bites had FOUR. The milkshakes were labeled incorrectly... It was just a complete disaster of an experience, and we will NEVER go back.

I need whoever was taking orders at around 5:55pm today to really listen to their customers requests when orders are being placed. I felt that you were very loud and a little rude. I understand some people have bad days, make mistakes, customers may talk to low, your mic may be to loud, or whatever but when we try to correct you, because you misheard us then you proceed to still not listen, rush us with the order, and put whatever you want on the order is not cool. Then to get to the front and it seems to be an issue because you say you already fixed the food but we didn't want to pay for something we didn't ask for then to find out the order still was incorrect after we received it. The shakes are great! Customer service was poor. We sat at the window for a long time before an employee would acknowledge us (even though we could see her walking back and forth the entire wait). Food: 5 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 5

An ok experience. Our food was pretty good. For some reason they put the ketchup under the hot dog instead of on?? My quesadilla was not heated all the way. The restaurant itself was very plain and you can't even get your own refills. All the tables were in disrepair. Waited about 10 mins just for someone to come to the front. Also the cashier charged us for a large when we did not ask for one. He did this to multiple other customers. Very deceptive and probably needs to be reported to Bureau of Business Affairs. I go here a lot because it's good and the best value in Statesboro. It's usually okay but tonight they messed up. I said double fries, this is not near what I usually get, and the fries weren't done.
