Multiple times we came here for lunch (dagenslunch for 130 SEK). But you can also select your cake from the vitrine and order a cappuccino or another coffee or tea. We love to go here because every time the food is good and the cakes are even better. Also been here to buy a cake. Although the price was not low the quality and taste are high. Recommended, specially for the dagenslunch.

Absolutely delightful deserts and all beautifully decorated! Combinations of sweet and sour in their passion fruit mousse cake which I highly recommend. Their shrimp sandwich had fresh shrimp, with a nice sweet shellfish taste. Super delicious 🤤
Very cosy and popular place with old fashion interior. Loads of pastries, buns and cakes but also lunch during the weeks if you are hungry. There are also baguettes with different spreads and a few different sallads. If you are travelling near Vara go and pay it a visit, it will be well worth it!
A selection of delicious sweets and pastries which taste as amazing as the look. It's a cozy place which had history and style.
Classy interior and ambiance, helpful staff and delicious desserts.

Nice place, great atmosphere , cupcakes and muffins, totally recommended
Named after the Swedish (fatally failed) North Pole explorer André, Nordpolen is quite famous for their cakes and pastry. A few years ago they added a stone-oven bakery (closed Mondays) and they’ve recently done some upgrades to the downstairs interiors. Already great: + The sourdough and sweet buns from the stone-oven bakery are excellent. The traditional Swedish cakes and pastry also look very good even though it’s not quite my thing. + Good barista coffee. + The upgrades they’ve done in the entrance with soft-green banks along the windows and marble tables feel very modern and welcoming. Could improve: - The interiors downstairs are still quite schizophrenic, with great furnishings and floors (new and old) mixed with random furniture and sad carpets. - It’s a popular lunch spot and they’ve solved this by jamming in way too many tables and chairs, leaving practically no room for more comfortable seating for longer “fika”. - The cake and pastry offering still feels very traditional and a bit uninspired. - The tables are often quite messy - staff take way to long to clear them. Pity. - Large back yard with plenty of tables that also feels more quantity than quality. Could be made so much mor cozy with not much effort.

Nice atmosphere, delightful pastries and good espresso. A Vara must-visit!
This is THE Café/Bakery/Confectionery in Vara and a must-visit when you come to this town. The staff is very friendly and service-minded, the assortment is generous and their goods is of top notch quality (especially their cakes). The cakes are also very affordable and they have a lot of treats of the more luxurious kind to offer like various teas, chocolates etc, so it's a great place for finding gifts too. In the summer they open up the back garden, allowing their customers to sit outdoors in a lush and peaceful environment whilst enjoying their fika.
