Our hosts took us here for dinner and we had a great experience. As the name suggests, the restaurant highly encourages sharing your food and sides, but you can always keep your own meal if you're a highly territorial eater. Lots of local and hand-crafted drinks to choose from too. The staff was very friendly and informative about the menu and the specials. We had a large group so ended up sampling a lot of different items. All the food was very good and our general consensus was: - Brussel sprouts were fantastic, personal favorite was the grilled mushroom, most disappointing was the mashed potatoes as they tasted a bit sour. Fried pickles were the most surprising and delicious while the other items (including the goat cheese special) were all excellent. - Salmon was the surprise entree that we all liked, steak was delicious, chicken pot pie was a little small for sharing (but good) and pork shoulder was excellent but with a very strong flavor. Pasta was just OK. We were pretty full and skipped the desserts, so maybe next time. Overall we really enjoyed it and would highly recommend Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Best place in Utah County. Seriously haven’t taste such a great food in Utah before I am in love with everything I tried. Portions are giantnormous share it great Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Solid 5 star experience. Excellent food, friendly and fun service, nice theme. Sharing a meal together is taken a bit further here, you're encouraged to share the food and eat together, not necessarily ordering one dish per person. It works, sharing food is both fun and a chance to try plenty of different things on the menu. The food itself was excellent; well prepared and well proportioned, excellent flavours and textures exciting presentation and plenty to go around. For a group this is really worth a visit, 6 was a good size. Booking is probably essential as it's busy. Give it a go, you won't regret it Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $50–100 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Charcuterie Board
First time at communal today. Will definitely be back! Love the idea of sharing dishes. We started with the banana bread which we all loved- even the one that doesn’t love banana bread. We ordered the sourdough pancake, Benedict, and fluffy egg madam. All were delicious. The lemon ricotta and strawberry compote went together perfectly. The Benedict had a nice kick to it. And the fluffy egg was definitely fluffy. They were out of brioche buns, but subbed with a croissant and it was good that way. The breakfast at this restaurant is grossly overpriced. The meat scramble was $14 for what looked like a quarter of a potato, two eggs, a few mixes of meat. Judge for yourself below in the picture. The flavors were good in this dish but not worth it. The berry french toast was supposed to be their highest rated dish, I found the “French toast” pretty flavorless. It didn’t even seem like French toast. More like bread that was just fried on one side, the middles were very dry. Lastly, my wife got the sourdough pancake skillet (not pictured). We liked the lemon cream it came with but the pancake itself was very heavy and thick, and the strawberry topping had a chemical taste to it. In total my wife and I paid $50 for what would be $20 at your local Denny’s, and the quality was marginally better. Service Take out Meal type Breakfast Price per person $20–30 Food: 2

Took the wife for our anniversary. The service was spectacular, we were offered free desert for it being our anniversary, Very kind and patient. The food was good, we got the Krispy pig ear for the appetizer, ribeye and the pork shoulder as our main and potatoes and beats for our sides. Overall everything was tasty. A little expensive but If you have money to blow or are celebrating a special occasion this place isn't bad. Though the cheapskate in me knows I could have saved about half of the total ($170 with tip) on a steakhouse for two, I would do it again for the experience. Would do 4.5 stars if I could. Best restaurant in Utah county and a top 5 in Utah. Here is what we got: - crispy pig (4/5) - Brussels (5/5) - best app - crispy fingerling potatoes (3/5) - good not great - beets (3/5) not enough to share with 6 people. Good, not great but others in the group raved about them. - mole pork shoulder (3/5) - the mole is excellent, but the pork was dry - asparagus (3/5) Fantastic service and a vibe, as always. It was my first time trying this place and we came for brunch. It had a nice atmosphere. It was in a fun location. We just got water to drink. We really wish there was ice in the water, it was just room temperature which I am not a fan of. We tried the tostada and the chorizo gravy and biscuits. Both were yummy and had good flavor. The service here is amazing. The staff do a wonderful job. The food on the other hand is passable but certainly does not merit it's heavy price tag. I had the salmon and my wife had the ribeye. The salmon was rather bland. The steak was much better but was nothing special and had far too much grisel. It can be a decent meal but you can get a much better value for your money elsewhere. Our family reserved a table here for the first time at communal, and I’ll say that it will definitely NOT be the last time we go. The food was absolutely incredible! The patty melt’s flavors were incredible in the mouth— decadent and the right amount of sweet. Not to mention that the fish tacos were refreshing to eat— my mother finished them all— and the steak sandwich made us all want more. The staff was so kind and quick with our order. Seriously 5/5 and will be back in the future for breakfast! Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
