Food was pretty good here. Ordered the brisket sandwich and some fries. Cool little place to dine at. The only negative thing would be the spacing. Everything felt so crammed together. Hard to walk anywhere bc of the way the seating was arranged. Other than that it was pretty awesome here. Would come back again. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

If I could leave negative stars on this place I would. It was the NASTIEST BBQ place I have ever been to. There wasn't a single item that I tried that I liked in this entire plethora of items. All of the meat was dry and flavorless. The smoke mac n cheese tasted like flour and milk. I tried a small bite of everything and I walked out...leaving this much food on the table. My 9 year old can make better BBQ than this place. Idk who had to be paid off for them to win "best place to eat" But I would steer very clear of this place if you actually have taste buds. 3.5 stars Walk in look for a spot and sit down. Look at menu and go order Lots of gluten free items. Order food. Then a different spot..order drinks. Didn't like how close to my table people had to walk to get through the place. The food was pretty ordinary. Service was very good. Just about all country music. Wasn't something I will go back for...as it just wasn't that tasty and I didn't feel the atmosphere was all that comfortable. Service Dine in Price per person $30–50 Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3

Great food. Sat outside with our pooches on the dog friendly patio. Be aware that all of their sauces contain sugar, but I liked the 3 I tried. I highly recommend the Colt Grill. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I'm thankful we didn't find Colt right away because it would've been the only place we would've eaten. The patio was packed, so we sat inside at the bar where it was nice & empty. The bartender was like an old friend that you haven't seen in a while, so you talk a long time to catch up. The food was amazing. The portions were huge. As soon as I saw all of that food, I knew I couldn't conquer it. I didn't. Then, foolishly, I ordered a peach cobbler a la mode for dessert. Dumb idea. It was a PLATTER of cobbler and ice cream. My friend ordered the Cowboy Cookie Sundae. 1st of all, the cookie weighed about 5 pounds. Then add 3 pounds of ice cream on top. We had to be rolled out of there. We were completely stuffed. Everything about this place is good and worth a visit! Oh, and the garlic butter fries were the bomb 💣 Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Smoked Beef Brisket Platter

Wonderful restaurant. We went for breakfast with 8 people, including a picky teenager, and everyone left full and happy! The service method is a little unusual - you get seated with your menus, then take your order up to the counter. The counter will call your order number and you come get your food. Very nice, friendly staff - we asked one to take our picture (in the most touristy way possible) and he readily obliged (and took good pictures, for what it's worth!) The food is delicious, large portions, and with some interesting options. I highly recommend the mushroom hash - I'm not a vegetarian at all but I chose it over some meat options and I'm very glad I did. Not super impressed by this place to be honest. We decided to try it out based on other reviews. We walked in and it's a seat yourself place. You have to order at one area for food, and then at a second area for drinks. Not a huge deal but it was an inconvenience to have to pay at 2 separate places inside the restaurant. The food was mediocre although we did just have the happy hour nachos. They were not very tasty and mostly chips with a little bit of toppings. But hey, what do you expect for $5. The margaritas were okay, nothing special. We ended up leaving and trying somewhere else. Overall, the atmosphere is nice if you sit outside by the fountain. The employees seemed to be more concerned about having conversations with each other rather than being attentive to customers. We would want to come back and try it once more to see if it is different, but honestly there are so many other restaurants within walking distance that we would definitely go to rather than this place. We enjoyed our meal at COLT Grill Cottonwood. My wife ordered smoked turkey, my sister had a smoked chicken sandwich, my brother-in-law ordered brisket, and I got ribs. I made the ribs "a meal" by adding ranch beans and garlic toast. My ribs were quite good. They were smoky and had plenty of meat. The beans were good, but there was about as much meat in the beans as there were beans. If you like a very meaty variety of beans, you might like these. The garlic toast could have had more of a garlic punch to it. My wife liked her turkey, although it doesn't match the quality of our favorite barbecue place, Lewis Barbecue in Charleston, South Carolina. My sister and brother-in-law both said that their food was good, but didn't elaborate. The atmosphere was very casual. The restaurant is a counter service place in which you order at the counter and a few minutes later your name and ticket number are called at the pick up area. There is also outdoor seating and it seemed quite popular. All in all, COLT is a good dining option for the Cottonwood area.
