Lovely experience and a great way to get your creativity to shine through. The only downfall would be the turn around time for your piece to be baked and ready for collection. That being said it's tough when we constantly have loadshedding

Clean, friendly staff. But they don’t explain everything in details. I was expecting to take my piece with after painting but I was told they are keeping it for 6weeks after painting .Otherwise It is a nice place to bond with friends/family. I recommend the place

Always nice visiting The attendant rushed through the explanation and seemed like she wasn't too interested in taking the time to explain nicely, more like she wanted to get it out the way. Also at no point were we offered drinks nor did anyone check in on us They usually have quite a bit of a selection but we're short on stock the day we went. The turn around time is said as 2 months or 4 months, depends on which attendant you ask Besides that it was fun and very keen to get our stuff once it's been fired!
It’s a fun experience, lots of ceramics to choose from. However quality of the paint is really bad, it’s dry and clumpy. Paintbrushes are also really old and kept breaking. Turnaround time is long at 3 months with limited communication or updates. Overall nice atmosphere however Create in Irene/Lonehill has a much higher standard.
This was a first for me! Picking raw ceramic objects, paints, and then sitting down to see what you can come out with - a good experience but I don't know if I'd go again. The Cafe is chilled, inviting, and accommodates everyone including kids. A place to catch up or breathe outside of one's busy life or if you wanna try something new. I like that you can bring your own snacks. The staff is nice. We ordered drinks and the tea tasted amazing from their cafe-made tea set. Unfortunately, we're only going to get our finished 'works of art' in a month or so because of a backlog with the firing - loadshedding is the culprit!
Definitely a must try at least once in a while. We went with a birthday group and it ranged from artists to accountants (and other not so artsy people) and everyone enjoyed themselves. The process is simple and if you go in the weekdays it's really quiet. They also serve coffee and snacks to have while you paint. The wait is a bit long but it's definitely worth it. I'm absolutely going back!
Great experience! Lots of different ceramic options, paints, etc. They also have hot/cold drink options. As well as small snacks. Despite the approx. 2 month turnaround time to receive our finished products due to a backlog, we can't wait to see them!
Very nice experience. The atmosphere is calm and relaxing and it’s easy to get into your artistic zone. Highly recommend for parents to bring their kids. I am just not a big fan of the waiting period
If you want to take your mind off daily challenges, just for 2-3 hours, this is the place, you choose what you want to paint, from mugs, potplants, plates, cats, fish, cars, what ever they have available in store, then you apply your creativity. The final product is available after 2 months.very therapeutic
Would definitely not recommend this place to anyone. On the day of painting, they had limited stock and never thought to let us know that there would be barely anything to paint, the place was overbooked and crowded, and after all that we waited 6 MONTHS for our items to be finished! Very limited to no communication from their side when asked when our items would be ready or when we could collect. I would a 100x times over rather drive a bit further to Create Cafe in Lonehill and get proper service than ever go to this place again.
