Outstanding experience last night. Although our waiter could not speak English, he tried his hardest to communicate with us and still managed to be so friendly, humorous, and charming. Great guy! The food and wine were fantastic. Wide selection of wines and of course, many different cod dishes. We had the cod with pork and the NY strip steak along with the house made dessert (don’t know the name). Everything was fantastic. Thank you!
Excellent food and Service.. Big portions and all dishes are wonderful good! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We had a reservation at the last minute. They allocated a table. We have tried their specialty, which are codfish plates. I loved their food. The waiters were super nice. They have a parking lot. The orange juice and starters? They were pretty good. I ordered the grilled codfish for my main dish, thinking they'd grill it fresh, but it seemed like everything was pre-made. The portions were massive - half would have been enough - and they've used a lot of oil or mayonnaise. For a place that specializes in codfish, I was expecting much better. Ate here today and was the best meal we’ve had in Portugal. Definitely a must try for anyone in the area. I’ve never had codfish dishes like these before. The service was also excellent!

Delicious food, good atmosphere, plenty of options available and very helpful and smart waiter. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Waiting time approx 30 min. The food I order was very tasety, meat was juicy. Wine was mediocre but if you order more expensive one it should be alright, other customers were loud and staff seem to don't care about them screaming all the time. But I recommend.
Amazing and delicious food. All the staff was very friendly and helpful. Beautiful decoration. Quiet and nice atmosphere. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person €20–25 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Codfish Sticks
The Taverna do Bacalhau was very busy at 8pm. The second dining room inside could have profited from having the A/C turned on! The cod fish meal was quite tasty and too much for me to finish (which says a lot about the size of the meal). I would call it prepared "peasant-style" with boiled potatoes, boiled carrots, boiled cabbage, and chick peas. The piece of boiled cod was quite big. The hors d'œuvre of fried cheese with herbs, olive oil, and bread was good, but I should have chosen something on the lighter side, had I known about the portion size of the main dish. White wine for dinner and an espresso to finish off the meal. No dessert tonight! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person €25–30
