Food quality has dropped significantly from my last visit here, and unfortunately last night's meal will be my last here. Had a philly cheese steak that had barely any meat on it, and the meat on it tasted like recooked dry roast beef. Manhattan clam chowder soup tasted like a potato was blended in to chicken. Mozzarella sticks were decent. Good portion sizes. Service was good and good came out quickly. The 1 star is for food quality and flavor. I was pleasantly surprised at my meal. I had the combo chicken and eggplant parm over linguini . It was tasty and a nice size portion . It also came with a salad for 18 dollars and change. I must admit I was disappointed with the lack of the salad bar this diner was known for. Covid killed off too many staples. Maybe that's why the diner was empty on a Saturday night? Food is great quality I highly recommend the grilled chicken sandwich. It’s a huge grilled chicken sandwich with fries that is fantastic. I also recently The steak and shrimp grill platter is inane. I've been here before and never had a problem until today. I placed an order online and after getting the confirmation text message, and email, I headed there to pick up the order. I was told where you pay it was still being prepared so I waited, they confirmed my name in the order. A few minutes later I was told the online ordering was not working, also the order wasn't paid (which wasn't an issue anyway) and I decided to leave without my order. Feels a little empty with the missing salad bar they used to have. I know it's difficult in post covid times to have something like that, but it really was a huge element in the layout. Usually pretty good. Today they missed a bit on the order. My son is easy going so it was ok, but no bacon on potato skins and mushrooms didn't come with lemon or tarter sauce like usual. I guess serves me right for not picking up and checking Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30

I have been to this diner multiple times. And i used to tip the waiters well. Very very rude and greedy for tip waiters. They have no manners and no heart. I took my cousin out for lunch. And unfortunately when she reached the diner, she didn't feel good. I asked for help and the old man owner just turned his back and walked away and was never to be found. None of the waiters came and asked whether we were OK. I have never seen such heartless people. Never again, will I ever enter that diner or recommend anyone to ho there. This place amazed me. Everything was beyond what I expected of a restaurant like this. I love Jersey diners because you can get a lot of great food fairly cheaply, so I grumbled a bit at paying $18 for chicken pot pie. Then they brought *this* out, and my complaints stopped! The waitress was very friendly and discreet, she was very open to our needs and helped us make enjoyable selections. I can't wait to get back to New Jersey and try this place again! Today I stop by this Coach House with my family, ordering the stuff fillet of sole w/crabmeat, chopped angust steak burger and bake stuffed chicken. The fish was burnt and overcooked. The server described the meal as two hamburger patties put together and when I order the baked stuff chicken, I received two pieces of dried chicken breast which I refused and requested what I ordered. The food was bland and no taste. This Coach House is nothing like the Coach House in North Bergen NJ.
