This was such a special way to end our day in Fredericksburg! The space is a favorite and the desserts were fresh. We enjoyed the Gooey Butter Cake with Mexican ice cream the most - just like my great-grandmas recipe! We also enjoyed a brownie (so good!!) Cons were that the space is not the best to sit and eat since it’s in an older building with limited space. Not very wheelchair accessible either, but you may come for the dessert and leave. Prices and flavors of ice cream was amazing! They make their own ice cream, so it’s way better. It didn’t upset my stomach like most ice cream does.

Over all I'd recommend giving this place a try. My sandwich, the King(brisket) was very lacking for $14. Plenty of sweets that looked worthwhile, though. Price per person $10–20 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

There are so many flavors to choose from, and they're all made with high-quality ingredients.The bakery is also fantastic. And let's not forget about the deli! The sandwiches are delicious. But what really sets Clear River Ice Cream, Bakery & Deli apart is the hospitality. Jim and John, the owners are some of the nicest people you'll ever meet. They go out of their way to make sure you have a great experience and feel welcome.
