Have been a customer for many years (12 plus years) and have bought many chocolate birthday/anniversary cakes including one yesterday. I am impressed by the consistency of their quality, richness of taste and reasonable prices. Reminds me of my time in Germany. The in store service is good and during Xmas time love the samples to taste while we shop
Highly recommend the bakery esp. for special event cakes and I am sure that you will not be disappointed

Birthday Cake
We tried a Clasen birthday cake for the first time and it was fabulous. It was 4 layers of yellow cake with buttercream frosting and strawberry jam filling. It was beautifully decorated with flowers, shavings, and fancy writing for my mother‘s birthday. The cake made the celebration all the more special, and everyone loved it. Thank you!

A dream made for people who love top-quality baked goods and like to make their own choices.
The bread, buns, cookies, cakes, pies and other wonderful speciality items available are on shelves, tables and coolers like a market. The good things about this "market approach" are you can see it all to examine it up close when you make your choices and you don't have to wait in long bakery lines to be served. However, quantities are limited to the way items are packaged, like morning buns are in a 2-pack, so you cannot buy a single or odd-number quantities; or some cookies are packaged by the pound, so the number you get is based on weight - the examples could go on and on. (They might make more exact quantities for pre-orders, but I don't know.)
The prices are very fair for the quality, but expect to pay more than in grocery store bakeries. It's worth it, but expect it!

A lovely European bakery. Huge selection of interesting treats. Limited seating inside so think more traditional bakery than the modern cafe model. Everything I had was great and an even better sign was the constant stream of a huge diversity of customers.
